Shopping Trip

This morning, Jackson and I went to Trader Joe's!  We haven't been since we moved from San Antonio, so it was a fun trip!

Jackson started off sitting in my shopping cart, but then wanted to push one of his own.  So, we went back to the front of the store and got a mini one just for him!  Needless to say, he loved it!

Jack did a great job (for the most part!) staying right with Mommy.  He loved putting groceries in his shopping cart--even ones that Mommy didn't ask for!  Two of the employees complimented J on his cowboy boots, and he proceeded to flirt with them!  Ha!
When we were checking out, the sweet cashier gave Jackson a lollipop and became his new best friend!  Then, she asked if he was my only child.  I told her that I also have an 11-year-old.  She asked if people often mistook me for being younger than I am.  I said that I didn't know, but I hope they do!  She sweetly told me that she guessed I was 23!  I chuckled and let her know that I recently turned 30 but liked to pretend that I am still 29!  We both laughed!  Then, she complimented me on my cross necklace and the cross ring that Bryan gave me when we were dating.  She was so nice to me and it really brightened my day!  It was a wonderful reminder that it takes nothing more than a kind word to lift someone up!

Big Boy Underwear!

Jackson has been doing so great going potty and wearing his Pull-ups!  He hasn't had an accident in weeks!  We are so proud of him!  So, this morning, I got out his big boy underwear!

He hasn't worn his undies since we worked on potty training over the summer, so he was a little nervous at first.  But I knew wearing his cape with his underwear would help!

It only took about a minute before he was running all over the house!

I took far too many pictures, but I couldn't help it!  He was running and laughing and being so stinkin' cute, and I wanted to remember it!

Shut up!

Notice all of his trucks lined up by the fireplace--that's one of his favorite places to keep them!  I love them there, and I know that one day, I'm going to miss them!

Look at that face with that huge smile!  I could just eat him up!

I can't believe our littlest baby is now such a big boy wearing big boy underwear!

Movie Night!

Papa Bear has been craving pizza this week, and when Papa Bear craves something--especially pizza!--it's only a matter of time until we have it!  So, he stopped by our favorite little pizzeria on the way home and got dinner!

I thought it would be fun to change things up a bit, so we had a picnic in the den while watching the movie Enchanted!  It was so much fun!  Enchanted is one of our favorite movies--it's so stinkin' cute and funny!
On a side note, when I was in labor with Jackson, the OB resident told me that she had just watched Enchanted that afternoon and that I looked like Amy Adams in that movie. After saying something so sweet--again, while I was in labor--I wanted to kiss her!

We ordered cheese pizza for the wee ones and a meat supreme pizza for us.

Well, Jackson decided he wanted our pizza more than his!  It started out with him sweetly asking for bites of mine, but then he ended up just stealing it from my plate while I was getting Bryan seconds!

Good thing he's cute!

Donuts

This morning they had "Donuts with Daddy" at Jackson's school.  Unfortunately, unless Bryan knows about something at least 3 months in advance, he can't get out of work.  So, Mommy went with Jack instead, and he was none the wiser!

My little buddy!

Jack loved the donuts...obviously!  He gave me a thumbs up, but couldn't manage to take his eyes off of his donut!

I'm glad I was able to go and have fun with this little cutie!

Five Little Monkeys!

This morning, as I was getting dressed, Jackson started jumping on our bed while singing, "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" at the top of his lungs!

He was having so much fun!

When he would fall, he would just laugh and laugh!

So cute!

Love how silly he is!

Bath Time

Last night, I was getting ready to give Jackson a bath, and he said, "Daddy, pwease take me a baf?!"

Since Bryan's the best Daddy, he couldn't say no to that sweet request!

Love it!

The United States of America

A few years ago, I bought this little book about the United States for Sarah from the Target dollar section.  For the past couple of months, this has been Jackson's favorite book!  He asks us to read it to him several times each day.

When you lift the flap of each state, it shows you even more information.

When Jackson and Daddy were reading it together a few weeks ago, I couldn't help but snap pictures!  They are just so cute!

Jackson can name almost all of the states!  He still has trouble recognizing and remembering Arizona, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, and Wyoming.

It's so fun to hear him point to and recite each of the states!  We are just so proud of him!

A couple of weeks ago, we were eating at a little pizzeria, and Jackson held up his slice of pizza and shouted, "Montana!"  Before he bit into it, it was a rectangular shaped piece of pizza, so it really did look like Montana!

Sweetness

Yesterday morning before we started getting ready for church, Bryan was in the kitchen drinking his coffee, and Jackson asked if he could hold his hand.  So, they just stood there in their jammies holding hands.  Such sweetness!

Birthday Party Fun

Saturday, we went to a birthday party for one of Jackson's friends and classmates!
Jackson was so excited to go!

He helped pick out all of the toys--which were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (his friend loves these, and J has never heard of them!).  He couldn't wait to give Graham his present!

Jackson had never been on a huge bounce house before, so he was a little nervous at first.

Look at that face!

Graham and Jackson

He had so much fun!

This picture cracks me up!  J pressed down on the gas, and it threw him back in his seat a bit!

I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of this in about 13 more years!

I don't know what to think!

Jackson had a great time at the party, and Bryan and I really enjoyed watching him play and have fun!
