Next week, Bryan and I celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. Yesterday, I finally framed the vows that we wrote and read to each other last year when we renewed them. I've already had to tell myself that I can't read his each time I come in our room because they will literally make me cry. Almost 16 years later, and I still can't believe he's mine.

Twins and Basketball
This week on our date, Jackson and I wore matching shirts!
Gingham is one of my favorites, but when my littlest bestie is wearing it too, it's my very favorite!
After sweet Sarah took our pictures, I stayed outside to watch him play basketball.
He plays after school almost every day. He just loves it! And he's gotten really good!
I love his face after his ball went in!
He's just the cutest!

Letter Jacket
Sarah got her letter jacket this week, and she's just the cutest in it!
I love that she got her favorite Bible verse on the back.
Papa Bear Hearing Sarah Perform
Sarah made the All-Region Band and qualified for Area. Last Friday night was her concert. Last Friday night, Bryan also had to fly to Georgia for his Paw Paw's 90th birthday celebration. The kids and I couldn't go with him because of the concert and because Sarah had a journalism competition that weekend as well. When Bryan found out he had to miss her concert, he was devastated...so was Sarah. Bryan got a text that his flight was delayed, and he was so excited that he was going to be able to attend her concert. Then, before Sarah's band went on, he received a text that his flight was back on time and he had to leave. I snapped this picture of him to show Sarah that he tried to hear her perform! And instead of actually being in the audience, I called him right before Sarah's band started, put the phone on speaker, and held it up, so he could at least hear her play! He's the best Dad!

Girls' Weekend
Last month, Bryan and his best bros went on a guys' weekend. This weekend, it was the girls' turn! We went to Pawhuska, Oklahoma and had the BEST time!
Outside of my family, these girls are my very favorite!
We stayed at the nicest hotel, went to two of the Pioneer Woman's restaurants--which were amazing--shopped, stayed up late talking, laughing, and just enjoying each others' company!
This was the Pioneer Woman's regular restaurant--that's inside her cute store. We ate here for breakfast on Saturday--while it was snowing! The night before, we ate at her pizza restaurant.
I love them so stinkin' much!
We already know where we're going next year!
This was the first time since we lived in College Station--about 15 years ago--that I've been gone overnight. When I walked in the back door, Bryan exclaimed, "Mama Bear!" Then, he came in the kitchen, grabbed my face, gave me a huge kiss, and said, "I missed you so much! I hope I die first because I was so lonely." It was the sweetest thing!
Dates
In our family, we make dates a priority. And last week, we all went on dates.
Bryan and I went on a day date to see a movie, and we literally held hands throughout the whole thing. It was the best! When we got home, we picked up the kids and went to one of our favorite restaurants for a family date!
Then, when the kids started school again, so did our weekly dates. I just love this one-on-one time with them. Jackson was so precious--he opened my car door, carried my purse (I don't know why he did that one!), and told me I was the favorite part of his day!
And my dates with Sarah before school, are the perfect blend of coffee and conversation!
I hope the kids are never too old to go on dates with me!
Building the Titanic
Jackson loves learning, and when he finds a subject that he's interested in, he wants to learn all about it. The Titanic is one of those subjects. So, for Christmas, we got him a book all about the Titanic and a Lego set to build the Titanic. The day before the kids started school last week, he and I built it together and had so much fun!
