6 Months Old!

Today, Jackson Henry turns 6 months old! We cannot believe it!
6 month old cutie!
  • He smiles at everyone--especially the ladies!
  • He loves to play with his toys--mainly by putting them in his mouth!
  • He rolls and scoots all over the place
  • He usually gets up at least once during the night still, but on the weekends, he often sleeps until 9 AM
  • He loves attention and being held

Christmas

Christmas Day was the third Christmas for Sarah and Jackson, and just like the other two, they loved it!
Sarah looking at her new toys from Santa! Which one to play with first?! Sarah loves when Santa comes! "Look at my new friend!"
Daddy and Jackson got a new football!
Jack loved helping Daddy open his gifts!
Jackson with Grandpa!
Jackson with Nana!

Getting Ready for Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we did a few things to get ready for the big day!
Jackson got ready to help Santa! He also wore his new festive onesie!
We put out milk and a huge cookie for Santa!
Then, we sprinkled some reindeer food outside so they would know where to find us!
Finally, Santa left a letter for Sarah and a plate full of crumbs after eating the cookie she made!

Christmas

This is the first year we aren't able to make the journey to our hometown for Christmas due to Bryan's work schedule, so today, my family came to celebrate with us. Papa Bear was unfortunately on call, but his gifts are awaiting him under the tree.
Sarah with one of the gifts she requested! Jackson with one of his new toys! But wait, this paper looks exciting too! Beara was so excited to get this guitar! She had never heard of it before, but somehow, Grampy knew she would love it!
Rockin' out with crazy Uncle Zach on the drums!
"Grandpa, what is going on?"
Strummin' the guitar together!
I am just so excited!
I'm also so cute!
Hanging out with Aunt Hillary, Uncle Zach, and Uncle Logan!
Love it!
My wonderful brother and sister!
Can you spot two drool spots on me from the little man?!

Gingerbread House

Yesterday, Sarah and I made a gingerbread house, and we had such a great time!
Since we're not going to eat it anyway, we used hot glue instead of the frosting to put the frame of the house together. Sarah felt so grown up using the glue gun on her own! Frosting with a smile!
Being a goober!
Our cute home!

A Lovely Birthday!

Yesterday, I turned 27. That's right, I'm an old lady! But anywho, I had a lovely birthday thanks to my wonderful family!
First of all, Bryan was off--his first day off in 13, so that alone made my day! Then, little Jackson slept from about 8 PM until 6:15 AM on my birthday! Awesome! Sarah picked out some pretty flowers for me. They brought these home yesterday morning, along with an adorable teapot, and Cracker Barrel breakfast! For dinner, we went to Panera Bread, one of my favorites!

Play Time

Yesterday, Jackson had a great time playing with his new toys!

Christmas

Last night, we let the kiddos open their Christmas gifts from us, and it was so much fun watching both of them!
Sarah helping her little brother open the gift she picked out just for him! A new giraffe!
"Mother, what is going on here?"
New books for Jackson
"I love all of my new toys!"
Sarah opening her first gift--she decided weeks ago this was the first one she was going to open!
Does she look excited or what?!
Sarah started one of the books we got her after opening all of her presents.
She finished it this afternoon!

Play Time

I haven't posted a picture of the little man in a while, so I thought I would snap a few of him playing in his crib before bed time.
He is just so cute! I know the pictures look identical, but they are slightly different! So, you get two for the price of one today, because I just couldn't decide which one I like better!

Christmas Party

The past two days, I have gone up to Sarah's school for a bit to fulfill my duties as Room Mom and help her teacher with their class project and Christmas party. I have had so much fun! And little Jackson has really enjoyed all of the attention from Sarah's friends. For their party today, the class wore their PJ's, watched The Polar Express, ate pizza, and decorated cookies. Sarah had a blast!
Sarah with her teacher, Mrs. Cockrell.
She is unfortunately moving to a new school over the break, so today was her last day. Sarah was really upset.
(If you look in the background, one of the little boys is wearing a UT sweatshirt. I asked him how many games his team lost and how many of the coaches are now gone. Mrs. Cockrell is an OU fan, so she helped me tease him as well! Is is wrong to tease a second grader?!)
This is the project the kids made--a Rudolph shirt. Aren't they cute?! The students all signed the back of the shirts, and some of them even asked for my signature!
