One of the countless reasons why Bryan and I love our church so much is the way they love our babies. Yesterday, Jackson received the sweetest letter from his favorite person at church, Mrs. Morgan! It meant so much to me that I cried when I read it...and then Bryan made fun of me...but that's a completely different post! I'm so grateful for the way our church loves Jackson, builds him up, and teaches him about Jesus!

Lunch Date
Yesterday, I had the best day date with two of my favorites--Bryan and lasagna! At one point, we laughed so hard we cried! Goodness, I love him. And lasagna.

Date Night
Last night, we took Sarah on a date to see Bethel--a Christian group that we adore! We had the best time together worshipping and praising God!
I just love these two!

Jackson's Grace
Last night during grace, Jackson said, "Dear God, I hope You had a great day. Thank You for Your heart. Amen." We all melted.
Feeding the Ducks
Yesterday after school, we went to feed the ducks!
M two cute boys!
Jackson's yelling at the ducks to come get the bread. They didn't.
This boy and his boots...my favorite.
Sweetness.
A Birthday Treat for Jackson's Teacher
Yesterday was Jackson's teacher's birthday, so he picked out pink tulips just for her! He couldn't wait to give the flowers and card he made to Mrs. Knotts!
The other room mom and I thought it would be fun to celebrate Mrs. Knotts, so she brought her lunch, and I made cupcakes for a little class party! I added the hedgehog cupcake toppers at the last minute! I thought they would be a fun touch because their class pet is a hedgehog named Buddy! The kids loved them, and Mrs. Knotts flipped when she saw them! She's such a sweet teacher, and it was nice to bless her on her special day!

Lasik for Bryan!
Bryan got glasses in first grade, contacts in middle school, went back to just glasses in med school, and yesterday, he got lasik! He's been wanting to do this for several years now, so he was really excited to finally get it done!
I watched the whole thing, and then when the doctor turned and gave me two big thumbs up through the glass, I was so relieved and so grateful! Thank you, God! After the surgery, I drove Papa Bear home, and we picked up smoothies on the way--since they were the perfect food to eat while his eyes had to be closed (although I did offer to feed him real food!).
While he rested, I baked him one of his favorite pies--apple crumble! Although, any pie is his favorite pie!
This morning, we went back for one of his follow-up appointments. Bryan was worried last night when his vision wasn't completely perfect yet, but when he woke up, it was already a ton better! And then after his check-up, he felt even better about it! On the one hand, he was really excited to have sunglasses again. On the other--and more depressing--hand, he thinks he looks like Pitbull, and that's a look nobody's trying to achieve! So, it's back to the store for another pair!

Medieval Times
In 10th grade, we took a class trip to Medieval Times, and I sat next to the cutest guy. Last night, that cute guy and I took our kids and had the best time!
Right after getting our crowns, this picture was taken of us, and I just love it so! I mean, just look at how happy Jackson is to be holding a sword! He's so excited, it caused him to get a double chin!!
Right after we walked into the castle, Jackson saw a whole table of swords, and he wanted one so badly! At one point, he took of his crown and hung his little head in an adorable attempt to make Daddy feel sorry for him and buy one! It worked!
He kept telling us, "Now, I have a light saber and a sword to defeat y'all!" That threat is not as scary when the word "y'all" is used!
The kids were both so excited!
This was such a fun family date!
Love!
Jackson loved cheering, "Fight! Fight! Defeat the bad guy!"
This one cracks me up!
And so does this one!
I love these two so stinkin' much!
All-Region Band
A couple of months ago, Sarah tried out for and made the All-Region Band! On Saturday, they had their concert, and she received her first plaque! We are just so proud of our baby girl!

Church Conference
Sarah Bear went to a church conference this weekend, and she was so excited about it! She roomed with her three best friends--the same girls she roomed with at the church camp over the summer.
In her bag, I packed some homemade brownies--that she and her roommates requested!--and a little card for each day!

Bacon for Daddy
Yesterday, Papa Bear came home from his overnight call shift sick, so on the way home from school, I told J we needed to be quiet when we got home because Daddy was sleeping. We started talking about how we should pray for Daddy, and then Jackson exclaimed, "we should make him bacon! Daddy woves bacon! It will make him feel better!" (He also wanted to make Daddy steak, but we didn't have any!)
So we prayed...and made bacon...and a get well card!
I just love Jackson and his sweet little heart!

Contacts for Sarah!
Today was a big day for Sarah Bear! She got contacts! She was so excited...and a little nervous!
Since her appointment was in the morning, I thought it would be fun to have a breakfast date beforehand! So, we went to the little tea shop in town and had such a great time together!
Sarah's had glasses since kindergarten, so getting contacts was a big deal! This is one of my all time favorite pictures of her, (and cute Papa Bear!), in Sarah's first pair of glasses! These little red glasses are still my favorite!
She looks so grown up!
She's so beautiful!
Serving
The three of us love serving at church each Sunday! Sarah helps in the two-year-old room and just adores her babies! Bryan and I greet sweet families and help with the elementary kiddos! We can't wait until Jackson's old enough to serve too!
Food Fun
On Saturday, we had a huge dinner full of homemade southern goodness! Bryan and I cooked it together, and had the sweetest time! I just love being in the kitchen with him! We made chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, fried okra, sautéed spinach, and biscuits.
Last night, I made dessert for dinner! It's always funny when we have dessert for dinner, because Jackson will ask "Rewwy?! We're not having reguwar food, just treats?!" Anyway, they were decadent bars with layers of chocolate chip cookies, oreos, and brownies. Then, because I can't leave well enough alone, I topped them with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge! They were so good! Bryan already asked me to pack him some for his call shift tomorrow!
Jackson and His Dinosaur
One of Jackson's favorite toys is this huge dinosaur from Santa!
He loves playing with him, and I think it's so fun to watch!

Coffee and Coloring
Yesterday morning while Daddy was at a work meeting, Sarah and I spent some sweet time together. We had coffee and colored and talked the whole time! I just adore spending time with my baby girl!
Date with Jackson
Friday night, while Sarah was at a birthday party, Bryan and I had the pleasure of going on a date with our favorite fella! We went out for ice cream and then pizza--because dessert is the best!
Sweetness
"I wove you super much, Mommy!" My new favorite Jacksonism!
I just love my precious babies so much! They bring more joy to my heart than I ever imagined possible!
