Thanksgiving

Thankful for mini pies.  Thankful that the kids are home all week so there are toys everywhere.  Thankful for God's love.

And I am so thankful for my precious family.

They're my favorite!

A Pirate at Dinner

Last night, this is how Jackson came to the dinner table.

I just loved it!  These are the little everyday moments that I don't want to forget.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Lately, we can't make it until even after Thanksgiving to put up the Christmas tree, let alone until December!  So, Sunday after church, we put it up!

This is always one of our favorite family activities!

The kids love going through the ornaments and reminiscing about when they got or made each one!

We also started a new tradition this year--we wear Christmas jammies while decorating the tree!  It was so nice and cozy...and adorable!

Love!

Sunday night, Sarah had a sleepover with her best friend.  So after we tucked Jackson in, we had a little date on the couch, and it was perfect with the Christmas tree lights!

Silly Jackson

Jackson got these glasses from treasure chest on Friday, and he was cracking us up wearing them!

I think this one is my favorite!

He's such a ham, and we love it!

Date Day with Sarah

Yesterday, Papa Bear and I took Sarah on a date!

We had the best time!  We just love dating our kids!

We went to see "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" first.  It's by one of Sarah's all time favorite authors, and she loved it!  It was their first time to see a 3D movie without their glasses, and they were both really excited!  After the movie, Sarah picked Kincaid's for lunch.  We talked, laughed, had delicious burgers, and shared a milkshake!  We just adore our baby girl!

Way to go, Sarah!

Yesterday, Sarah auditioned for the All-Region Band and made 3rd chair!  We are so proud of her!

While the band was on their way home last night, I whipped up some of her favorite cookies to celebrate, and then after Daddy picked her up, he took her out for frozen yogurt to celebrate!  I'm pretty sure she knew we were proud of her!

Thanksgiving Feast

Today was first grade's Thanksgiving Feast.  Bryan was post-call, so he got to go too!  Jackson and I were both really excited to have Daddy there too!

We just love our little turkey!

Visit to Santa

Yesterday evening, we went to visit Santa!  I know it's still November, but I also knew there wouldn't be a line yet!

Jackson telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.  He was really excited to see him!

Santa pictures are my favorite!

He's getting excited about Christmas!

As we were leaving, he wanted to take a picture on their old truck.

This one's my favorite!

After seeing Santa, we went out to eat.  Jackson grabbed my hand and said, "I love you, sweetheart.  I wish I could marry you, but you're already married."  Be still, my heart.

Saturday

Sleeping in, then making breakfast together is my idea of a perfect Saturday.

Halloween

Last night, we all went trick-or-treating together!

But before we left, I had to snap some pictures!

I always love looking back at our Halloween pictures and remembering what the kids dressed up as each year!  But as I'm looking back at them, I'm also reminded of how much they're growing up!

I'm pretty sure Sarah will be taller than me next Halloween!

Sarah wore her Supergirl costume to two parties this year, and although she wasn't going to wear it when she went trick-or-treating with us, she was sweet and put it on for pictures!

I'm pretty sure there's never been a cuter T-Rex or Supergirl!

Sarah loves superheroes, so this costume was perfect for her!

At first Jackson wanted to be The Flash for Halloween, and then Spider-Man, and finally a T-Rex!  So when he was completely sure about being his favorite dinosaur, I couldn't wait for Halloween night!

His T-Rex impression!

J loved being T-Rex, and when we got home last night, he said, "Everybody thought I was a cute T-Rex!"

I'm pretty smitten with my little dinosaur!

He loves trick-or-treating!  And on only a couple of occasions did he walk into the people's foyer to get his candy!

At this point, T-Rex was tired and thirsty, so Daddy and Sissy went to get the car.

This is one of my favorites of the whole night!  His little T-Rex profile with his sweet baby cheeks!  I can't even!

We had a sweet Halloween night!
