Just Jack

Here is a round-up of random pictures of Jackson from the past couple of months.

For some reason, I love this shot of him.  Maybe it's his crazy hair or the way he's holding his hat, I don't know.

Sitting on his trike from my Dad.  Even though Jack's so tall, he's still just a little shy from reaching the pedals to really ride!

When the gate to the stairs happens to be left open, J loves sitting on the steps--and as you can tell from this picture, he usually brings several of his possessions with him!

 He's so silly!

Jackson eating his first PB&J sandwich--made with all natural peanut butter and homemade strawberry jam.

One of his current favorite toys is a Leap Frog computer that Bryan's grandparents sent him for his birthday.  I love how his legs are in this picture--it wasn't me catching him while trying to climb onto the couch, this is just how he often likes to stand!

His favorite show is Blue's Clues!  He doesn't watch it everyday, but when we do turn it on, he loves it!

Jack loves playing with the Hulk hands from my brother.

It was hard to get good pictures of him with the hands on because he was running around the whole time, but I think this one's still cute!

Here, he's sporting a "helmet" in his car...apparently, he watches too much Nascar with Daddy!

This picture reminds me of when Sarah was Jack's age, and she too, would play with Daddy's car.

Jackson pulled down the dictionary in the office and started pointing out his letters.  Love it!

Love pictures of him sleeping!

Jackson loves reading the Bible.  We bought this children's Bible when I was pregnant with Sarah, and I love that it's now been passed down to Jack.  In the stories before Jesus is born, Jack will ask, "Je-dus go?!"

I walked into the den from the kitchen the other day, and this is how I found Jack.  He looks just like Daddy here!  Haha!  I even sent another picture of it on my phone to Bryan at work!

For past couple of weeks when we tuck Jack in at night, he asks for some books to read until he falls asleep.  Adorable!

 One cool cat!

I just love bath time pictures!

J had so much fun riding in the race car cart at Lowe's, that I got him one earlier this week while we were at the grocery store!

Breakfast with my Little Man

For me, it's the little things that make each of my days so great.  This morning, as I was eating breakfast with Jackson, I couldn't help but take a picture because I want to remember the simple sweetness of it.

I want to remember his crazy hair after sleeping, his love for spinach-fruit smoothies, and the stethoscope that he chose to wear.
Now that Sarah's back in school, she eats breakfast before we leave.  Once we return home from dropping her off, I make breakfast for me and Jackson.  No matter how much he eats of his own food though, he always shares some of my cereal, and I love it!  I want to remember that.

First Day of School!

Today, our little princess started 4th grade!  We can't believe she's already so old!

This morning before we left for school, she exclaimed, "Fourth grade, here I come!"  I just love her dress--I would wear it if they made it in my size!

We usually go to the Starbucks at Barnes and Noble after the first day of school, but since Bryan was post-call today, we decided to take Sarah to her favorite burger joint for an early dinner instead!  It was the perfect place to talk all about her day at school and eat!

The wee ones shared a milkshake!

 So did Bryan and I!

We're a very sharing family!  Ha!

I love his ketchup covered mouth drinking the milkshake!

Sarah had a great first day!  She adores her new teacher, Mrs. Halstead.  She also has a lot of old friends in her class that she was able to reconnect with!  She's really looking forward to the rest of the year!

Two Cute Doctors

When Sarah was 2, we bought her a doctor's kit.  We figured it was only fitting since Daddy was going to become one!  She loves it and plays with it to this day.

The last time the wee ones played doctor together, Jackson was 8 months old.

Bryan and I recently bought Jack his first doctor's kit too, and today, the wee ones played with their medical tools together!  Jackson actually didn't like his stethoscope at first, as you can see in this picture!

Making sure the blood pressure cuff works just right!

Sarah loves taking care of her stuffed animals.  Today's patient was Cuddly the Bunny.

Oh no!  Cuddly had to get a shot!

Then, she needed her arm wrapped in gauze!

Afterwards, J gave her some medicine!  The pink medicine bottle is not from his doctor's kit!

Dr. Sarah--wearing Daddy's white coat and tie.  She also put her surgeon's cap on over her hair bow!  Love it!

I think Bryan is the bee's knees, but these two little doctors may be even cuter than he is!!

Duck Pond

This morning after breakfast, the kids and I went to the duck pond in a neighboring town.  We had so much fun!

I used to take Sarah to duck ponds a lot when she was younger.  Can you tell by her face that she still loves going?!

We packed Cheerios and a loaf of bread for the ducks.

Jackson loved seeing all of the ducks and geese!  I don't know if I caught his face in any of the pictures because he was constantly on the go!

Getting bread to feed the ducks.

Oh wait, he was getting bread to feed himself!  Ha!  Jack would take a couple of bites of each slice, then give the rest to the ducks!  They didn't seem to mind a partially eaten piece though!

Jack would go right up to the ducks and feed them out of his own hand!  He even did it with the Cheerios!  He's so brave!

I don't know if Jackson's running after Sarah or the ducks here!

Although this picture's blurry, I love Sarah's face in it!  She thought she was in an old musical swinging around the lamppost!

 Then, Jackson wanted to try!

He does everything his big Sissy does!

Here, I think he's trying to figure out how to climb up it!
