Sunday

We love Sundays.  They start with a little bit of sleeping in, a simple breakfast, then church!

This morning when I went to wake Jackson up, he wanted to bring his new Stuffie downstairs and fill it up with his racecars.

Then, he wanted to snuggle with Sissy...

...and his puppy!

Before we got in the car for church, I wanted to take the kids' picture.  They looked too cute not to!

After church, we went to a neighboring town and took their picture in front of a big Christmas tree.

Once we were home, and Jackson was tucked in for a nap, Daddy took pictures of Sarah and me in our matching cross necklaces.  For Christmas, we got her this necklace from James Avery to match mine, and she says it's so special to her!  I've had my necklace for over 15 years now, and I never take it off.  I hope she always wears hers too!

Christmas Day

After opening gifts at our house, we went to Bryan's parents' house to have Christmas with his side of the family.

The kids were excited to see everyone and to open even more gifts!

When we were at Bass Pro Shop last month to see Santa, Sarah spotted a pink BB gun that she wanted.  So, Nana and Grampy got it for her!

She was so surprised, and I love that I caught her reaction!

Jackson unwrapped one of his gifts to find this box.  He flipped out and kept yelling, "A box!  A box!"  He was so excited about the box and didn't even know the real present was inside it!  It was the cutest!

He got a Stuffie puppy and loved it!

He also loved his airplane from the movie Planes!

After all of the presents were open and breakfast was finished, Sarah couldn't wait to head outside to try out her new gun!

Uncle Gus was sweet enough to show her the ropes, and she quickly become a pro!

So cute!

Christmas

On Christmas Eve, after Jackson was bathed, he picked out three special cookies that he and Sarah made for Santa and put them right by the fireplace.  Earlier in the week, I told him how Santa was going to come down our chimney and out of the fireplace to bring his presents.  After hearing that, Jack tried to get in the fireplace to see Santa!

Then, once we had tucked the kids in, Santa started building Jack's gift.  At one point when Bryan  was having trouble, he got frustrated and said, "I keep people alive for a living!"  It cracked me up!

Christmas morning, when I came out of our room, Sarah was reading on the stairs waiting for us to get up so she could open her gifts!  It was so sweet!  Then, once we woke Jackson up, he saw his truck and started exclaiming, "What's that?!"

Daddy showing Jack how to drive his truck!

Sarah loved her pink wrapping paper and pink bows!

Watching them open their presents makes us so happy!

Sarah was so excited to get this cross bow that she asked for!

Jack loved his new cars and planes!

Sarah also asked for rollerblades, so she flipped when she opened these!

We also got Sarah a cross necklace that matches mine.

She said it was her favorite gift!

Although Jackson was so excited to have a truck "just wike Dada!" he was a little scared to drive it at first.

Finally he got over being nervous and loved it!

After the presents, we sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus!  I love this tradition, and I hope it helps the kids always remember the real reason of Christmas!

After we sang, Jack thought it was ok to eat Jesus's  J since it starts with his name too!

What's better than cake for breakfast?!

I love his chocolate face!

Jackson wanted to drive one more time before we left for Bryan's parents' house!
