On Christmas Eve, after Jackson was bathed, he picked out three special cookies that he and Sarah made for Santa and put them right by the fireplace. Earlier in the week, I told him how Santa was going to come down our chimney and out of the fireplace to bring his presents. After hearing that, Jack tried to get in the fireplace to see Santa!
Then, once we had tucked the kids in, Santa started building Jack's gift. At one point when Bryan was having trouble, he got frustrated and said, "I keep people alive for a living!" It cracked me up!
Christmas morning, when I came out of our room, Sarah was reading on the stairs waiting for us to get up so she could open her gifts! It was so sweet! Then, once we woke Jackson up, he saw his truck and started exclaiming, "What's that?!"
Daddy showing Jack how to drive his truck!
Sarah loved her pink wrapping paper and pink bows!
Watching them open their presents makes us so happy!
Sarah was so excited to get this cross bow that she asked for!
Jack loved his new cars and planes!
Sarah also asked for rollerblades, so she flipped when she opened these!
We also got Sarah a cross necklace that matches mine.
She said it was her favorite gift!
Although Jackson was so excited to have a truck "just wike Dada!" he was a little scared to drive it at first.
Finally he got over being nervous and loved it!
After the presents, we sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus! I love this tradition, and I hope it helps the kids always remember the real reason of Christmas!
After we sang, Jack thought it was ok to eat Jesus's J since it starts with his name too!
What's better than cake for breakfast?!
I love his chocolate face!
Jackson wanted to drive one more time before we left for Bryan's parents' house!
