Lost Tooth

Last night, Jackson lost his first top tooth--which basically means he gets his drivers license next week and leaves for college the week after!  My Mama heart can't take it!

 

This morning, when he came downstairs carrying his dollar from the Tooth Fairy, I told him we could take it to the store today, but Daddy told him he should invest it instead.  When Jackson asked what that meant, Daddy said that you allow that money to make you more money and J said, "That, I want to do that!"  Bryan and I both laughed!

After playing at the park this morning, Jackson combined his Tooth Fairy money with his leftover birthday money and bought a new Transformer!

 

I just can't get over how fast my baby's growing up!

Beginning Marching Band

This morning was Sarah's first day of marching band! 

 

She was excited and nervous--all at the same time! 

When I picked her up, she said that she was exhausted, but she had so much fun!  She said marching band was everything she thought it was going to be!

We hope she loves it as much as we did!

Brother's Day

Tuesday was Brother's Day!

 

Jackson asked for a Nutella sandwich, fruit, jelly beans, and apple juice!  I just love watching them serve each other!  They just love on each other so well!

Sister's Day

Monday was Sister's Day!

 

The kids just love celebrating their special days!  Sarah picked out avocado toast, fruit, and green tea.  Jackson and I also got her yellow daisies--her favorite!  J was so excited to bring her breakfast in bed!

Slumber Party!

Over the weekend, these two had a slumber party!

 

They were both so excited to sleep in the guest room together!

I couldn't help but sneak in to check on them before Bryan and I started our movie!

They're just too cute!  I hope they're always the best of friends!

Baking with my Baby

A few days ago, Sarah and I made chocolate chip cookies together--one of her favorite treats!  We just love being in the kitchen together!

 

I hope she's never too old to lick the beater!  Goodness knows, I'm not!

Our cookies turned out amazing!  Obviously!

National Ice Cream Day!

On Sunday, we celebrated one of my favorite holidays--National Ice Cream Day!

 

I got everyone's favorite!

I've had these cute cups tucked away for over a year, and ice cream day was the perfect excuse to use them!

I love how Jackson's looking at Sarah!  I also love how he got every topping...and then some!  We all loved celebrating Ice Cream Day!

Friday night, Bryan and I got home from a group date, and I snuck into Jackson's room to kiss him goodnight one more time.  He wasn't wearing a shirt, but he was sleeping with his new transformers!

 

He never fails to crack me up!

Thursday Nights

In the summer, Thursday nights are our favorite night of the week.  We have a family night and go out to eat, and then go to church.  It's the perfect thing to get us ready for the weekend!

 

And sometimes, we even find a really cool background and the kids let me take their picture!

4th of July!

Yesterday was the 4th of July--one of our favorite holidays!  It was Bryan's first day off in a week and a half, so we all slept in, then spent the day together!  It was perfect!

As we were hanging out in the pool and enjoying each other's company, we all kept saying that it was our favorite day since our vacation!  We had the best--and simplest!--4th of July!  We are so grateful to live in this amazing country!
