Two Months Old!

Little Jackson Henry is 2 months old today! And he's really changed a lot over the past month!

Two month old cutie! He loves when Daddy comes home from the hospital!

• He smiles and coos all the time now
• He loves eating!
• He sleeps for at least 7 hours straight at night
• He loves being held
• His tummy and thighs are getting bigger, but his arms are still super skinny!
• He loves just sitting on the couch with us while we talk to him
• He really likes his pacifier, especially before bedtime
• He still loves looking at the ceiling fans, and knows where they are in each room
• He is just the cutest!!!

After School Treats

After school yesterday, we continued our tradition of going to the Barnes and Noble Cafe. Since Bryan was on call Monday night, Sarah was happy to move it from her first day of school to the second day, so Daddy could come too! We loved listening to Sarah tell us stories about her new teacher and friends.

First Day of School!

Today was Sarah's first day of school! We cannot believe our baby is now in the second grade! Sarah was so excited about starting today, that she woke up before it was actually time to. Then, while I was doing her hair, Jackson started crying in his crib, so once Sarah and I were finished, she ran into his room and told him not to worry, because she would be back home from school soon!

When Jack and I picked Sarah up from school, she of course, had tons to tell me about her day. She said that her new teacher, Mrs. Cockrell, is really nice. Sarah informed me that Mrs. Cockrell is a Southern girl, because she said "y'all"! Haha! She told Sarah that she was "amazing" today and later rewarded her for being so good. We've only been home for 30 minutes--just long enough for me to make her a snack and talk with her some more about her day--and Sarah's already ready to go back to school!

Sweet Gifts

While we were at school last night, we just had to stop by Ms. Zarate's classroom! We were all really excited to see her again--especially Sarah! Ms. Zarate gave us some sweet gifts for Jackson--two onesies, a bib, and a Target gift card!

Sarah can't wait for Jackson to wear the "Baby Brother" onesie, and Bryan was really excited to see the "Cowboy" one!!

Meet the Teacher

Last night, we went to Sarah's Meet the Teacher. She was nervous about starting second grade and being in a new class, but once she met Mrs. Cockrell, she became super excited! After looking around her new classroom, Sarah kept telling her teacher that she loved all of the pink she used to decorate it! I think they're going to get along great!

Costco

Today, Sarah, Jackson, and I went to Costco...

This was taken at Costco about a year ago when Sarah and I went with her baby. This is today--with our new baby! It's amazing and wonderful what changes a year can make!!

Just Hangin' Out

This afternoon, Bryan helped Sarah build a fort in the den. Inside, Sarah has all of the essentials: a pillow, one of her stuffed animals, a paper fan she made, and the TV remote, (she said she's hiding it from Daddy!).

Bath Time Cutie!

I gave Jackson a bath this morning, and he was so happy afterwards all warm and snuggly in his towel, I just had to take a picture!

Reading Time

Sarah Bear loves her little brother and she loves reading. So, this afternoon, she combined the two! Both of my babies really enjoyed spending this time together!

This dinosaur book is one of Sarah's favorites--and one of the few of hers that's not too girly! My favorite!

Boys and Football

Last night marked the beginning of football season! Bryan has been waiting to watch football with Jackson since we found out we were having a boy!

Just the Girls

Yesterday afternoon, Bryan kept Jackson while Sarah and I went to see Beezus and Ramona. She and I haven't been to a movie together in a couple of years, so we had a lot of fun! Since it's been so long, I'd forgotten how adorable she is at the theatre--she talks during the movie, covers her eyes during any scary parts, and laughs really loudly! It was really nice to take Sarah out to do something just for her!

Fun at the Zoo!

Bryan is off this weekend, (after 11 straight days!), so we asked Sarah to make a list of things she wanted to do, and we all decided on the zoo! It was so much fun!

A New Friend

One of Bryan's aunts sent a package for Jackson, and in it, were some goodies for Sarah. One of the gifts was a Build-A-Bear that you make yourself. Sarah loved putting her new friend together!

Jackson loves just hanging out on the couch with us. He'll sit there content as can be forever...or until he gets hungry!

Time at the Park!

This morning, before it got too hot, the kids and I headed to the park for some outdoor fun! Sarah was so excited the whole way there, and we had so much fun together once we arrived! There was no one else at the playground, so Sarah and I played pirate ship, spent time on the swings, and had races on the slide!

Hippity Hop!

When Aunt Hillary came to visit, she brought Sarah this hippity hop. As you can imagine, Sarah loves it!!

She usually starts bouncing in the den, then takes it around the rest of the downstairs until she's too pooped to bounce any more!

The Boys

Bryan was on call on Friday night, so after he napped yesterday, he could not wait to spend time with his little buddy.

Jackson loves just looking at him! As he's talking, Jack will stare at Papa Bear so intently, as if he understands what's being said. Jack also loves sleeping on Daddy! So sweet!
