Field Trip

Yesterday, Jackson's class went on a field trip.  Jackson asked if I would come, and I just can't say no to him, (also, I was already planning on going!).

 

The field trip was held at a local college, and the first stop was the planetarium!  This was always one of my favorite places when I was J's age!

Next, the kids observed turtles, tadpoles, crawfish, and dragonflies.

 

Then, they dug for fossils.  Jackson loved this part!

Then, they learned various facts about different Texas animals.

As much as Jackson loved the field trip, on our way to the car, he told me that his favorite part was me being there with him.  I can't even.

Weekend Dates

Our weekend was pretty full.  Full of sweet dates and lots of time together.

 

 Friday evening, Bryan and I had a great time dressing up for a benefit that we help.

Then, on Saturday, we had a date with our best girl!  We went to eat at her favorite burger place, then to a Christian concert.  We had the best time together!  And on our way home late Saturday night, we even stopped at Whataburger to get their breakfast!  It was so fun!

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday afternoon, we gave the kids their Easter baskets!

And then, the Easter Bunny came!

The kids always get so competitive finding all of the eggs!

After searching everywhere, Daddy helped them find ones they'd missed!

Easter Family Pictures

On Saturday afternoon, we went to a special Easter service at church for all of the volunteers.  Before we left, we took some family pictures.

 

I love this one!  And I love the boys matching!

We are so grateful that Jesus was risen!

On Sunday, we worked at a couple of the church services, and then went out with Bryan's family for Easter lunch.  Since we were all dressed up again, we took more pictures!  Hooray!

Easter Breakfast

I love Easter!  And I love Easter brunch!

 

We were going to have Easter brunch Saturday morning, so I set the table Friday after dinner.  I love decorating the table!

and a chocolate bunny!

 

This is one of my favorite things to make each Easter--the tomb with the stone rolled away showing that Jesus was not there!

We had bacon...obviously!
