Resurrection Rolls

Last night, after dinner, we made Resurrection Rolls--or as Jackson calls them "Jesus Cinnamon Rolls!" This is one of our favorite Easter traditions!

We read the Bible before making the rolls and had the sweetest little talk about where Jesus went after He rose from the dead!

Jackson kept saying "Jesus is the marshmallow, and He goes in the tomb!"

The kids had fun making these...and eating some marshmallows in the process!

We just love celebrating holidays with these two, and we really love it when the holiday is centered around Jesus!

Jackson loved the cinnamon-sugar mixture that you roll Jesus in!

As Jackson was watching the Resurrection Rolls while they were in the oven, he yelled, "Oh no! What's happening to Jesus?!"  Then, when they came out of the oven, we declared, "Jesus is not there! He has risen!"

Checking for Jesus!

Jesus is gone...just as He said He would be.

Praying

Yesterday after reading Jackson's Jesus Calling Bible, he sweetly prayed, "Jesus, pwease wive in my heart!" This was the second time he invited Jesus into his precious little heart, and both times have made me happier than words can convey! He's still young and doesn't quite understand everything yet, but he does know that Jesus loves him!
Also, because we tell him that Jesus lives in our hearts, he usually lifts up his shirt and screams at his tummy to pray!

Our New Home

We move in 2 weeks, and we are beyond excited!  Yesterday evening, we made a couple of trips to the new house to do some work.  And while there, we stopped for just a few moments to enjoy each other and our new home.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

Yesterday after church, we dyed Easter eggs!

J loved watching the water change colors!

Instead of using the dipper that was included in the kit to drop the eggs into the water, Jackson preferred to use his hands.  Typical.

 She's the cutest!

If only these two had fun making their eggs!

A cutie and a ham!

Sarah and Jackson did such a great job!

Jackson dipped this egg into each color--it turned out so pretty!

And like any good southern girl, I turned out colorful eggs into deviled eggs to go with dinner!

Soccer

Jackson's second season of soccer started on Saturday!

He was really excited to start playing again!

Because he was so pumped to play, he didn't even mind me taking a ton of pictures before we left!

He is the cutest!

Once we got to the field and met his new coach, he got his new uniform shirt!

Before our team could take the field, Daddy and Jackson practiced.

I just love watching Bryan with the kids!

Then, our team could finally take the field!  Jackson was so excited!

 Such a cutie!

I love his little tongue sticking out while he concentrates to kick the ball just right!

I mean!

In action...with all of the sweet grandparents who came to support him in the background!

Go...

...team!
They're going to vote on an actual name next week!

Jackson did such an awesome job!  He ran after the ball as fast as he could--which is not necessarily how he played in the fall!

Every so often, J would make his "angry face" and yell as if he was going into battle!  It was so funny!

Look at Jackson go!

After this play, the coach talked to him about not pushing!  Oops!

We had so much for watching Jack at his first game!

After the game, we had to go pick Sarah up from a sleepover 30 minutes away...and Jackson took a little nap because he was wiped out!
