Sarah's Birthday Party!

Yesterday was Sarah's birthday party, and she was pretty excited about it!  A couple of months ago, she and I came up with the idea to have a tea party at her favorite tea room!  She loved going there so much when she was little, and she couldn't wait to go with her friends!

Bryan is the absolute best Daddy--not only did he go to the tea room, but he also dressed up in his seersucker suit!  They are the cutest!

We just adore our baby girl!

Sarah and her three best friends!  They go to church with her, and they each truly love each other!

Darling!

We got the girls their own table, so I had the pleasure of dining with this handsome gentleman by myself!  Along with our lunch, we shared a pot of tea and a scone!

They were the cutest!  I told them I hoped they were still going to tea together when they're 80!

The cutest girls ever!

To go with the tea theme, I got each of the girls a tea cup, a canister of tea bags, and a scone mix as their party favors!

After lunch at the tea room and walking around the antique mall, Sarah wanted to go the art museum!  I thought we had a 13 year old...not a 73 year old!!  It really was the cutest party, and Sarah kept thanking us for it!  And instead of taking each of the girls home afterwards, they sweetly twisted our arms, called us "Mom and Dad" and asked if they could spend the night!  So, we had an impromptu sleepover, and Sarah was over the moon!  After three boxes of pizza, a movie, and a bit of giggling, they were all actually asleep in the gameroom by 10:00!  And possibly even better than that, they all filled up on donuts and got ready in an hour this morning, and we all left for church only a few minutes later than normal!  That's pretty much a miracle with 4 girls!

Baking with Jackson

One of Jackson's favorite things to do is help me in the kitchen.  And with our schedules being so crazy lately, we haven't had time to bake together in awhile.  So, yesterday after school, we made time to do just that by making some cupcakes.

He loves doing things by himself!

Papa Bear was actually home with us, so he sweetly took some pictures of us together!

I just love my little helper...who also thinks I'm hilarious!

This kiss picture was actually Jackson's idea, and I will treasure it always!

He's an expert taste tester!

When Sissy's not home, Bubba gets both beaters!

Still making sure our cupcakes are going to be yummy...

He was so excited when they were out of the oven, frosted, and ready to be eaten!

He's the cutest little thing, and I hope he always likes being in the kitchen with Mama!

Cowboy Jack

Yesterday was "Cowboy Day" at school, and Jackson was so excited!

This one of our little buckaroo dressed as a cowboy holding his Paw Patrol lunch box cracks me up!

Sweet Jackson

I kissed him, and he said, "Aww, I'm gonna marry you!"  Goodness gracious, he has my heart!

Sarah's Birthday!

We celebrated Sarah's birthday as a family on the 19th--the day before her birthday.  She was so excited about it, and so were we!

The birthday person always gets to pick out what dinner and dessert they want me to make.  Sarah chose my chocolate cake and chocolate frosting, and I decided to make it extra fancy just for her!  I baked three layers and then piped rosettes onto the whole cake!  Sarah loved it!

We still can't believe she's 13!

We sure love our Sarah!

For dinner, Sarah requested cheese enchiladas and queso!

Sarah loves being in The Word, and she loves being creative, so we got her a journaling Bible.  This isn't the clearest picture, but I love her sweet smile here!

We got her lots of art supplies!

I think she liked the Target and Old Navy gift cards!  Ha!

She was pretty excited about the Harry Potter coloring book!

We also got her a box of her favorite tea from our favorite tea room...

...and a new tea pot and tea cup!

On Saturday, Sarah's actual birthday, we met with the grandparents for lunch at Sarah's favorite restaurant, Gloria's.
I love taking family pictures on birthdays!

Jackson took this one of us with the birthday girl!  We are so grateful for our 13 year old baby!

Happy Birthday, Sarah!

13 years ago today, God blessed us with our baby girl!  She was 7 pounds and 3 ounces of perfection!  We never knew we could love someone so much until she was placed in our arms.  Although she's 13 today, she will always be our baby.

Donuts with Dad

This morning, they had Donuts with Dad at J's school, but Papa Bear had to work.  So last night, after we dropped Sarah off at church, we took Jackson out for donuts!  On the way there, we told Jack we were going to a restaurant that only served spinach for dinner, so he was pretty excited when we pulled into the donut store parking lot!

The two cutest guys I know!

Sharing is caring!

Fun at School

Last week, Jackson had a lot of fun at school!

Tuesday was their 100th day of school, so he and I made this shirt with 100 of his fingers on it!

At school, they made these "100 Days Smarter" hats...

...and took pictures of what he looks like now and what he'll look like when he's 100 years old!  This cracked us up!

They also learned about a couple of the presidents--including George Washington!  He told us that George Washington was our first president and that he died when he was old!

On Wednesday, they got to wear their jammies to school, and he was so excited!

Valentine's

Last week, we got ready for Valentine's at J's school.

He worked really hard writing the names of all of his classmates on his Batman Valentine's!

He also picked out pink roses for his teacher!

We had an ice cream sundae party in J's class for Valentines, so after the other room mom and I were finished helping the kiddos with their creations, I snapped this sweet picture with my littlest Valentine!

Yesterday morning, he handed out a tulip to each of the ladies who work at the church.  They all flipped over the flowers, and he got lots of hugs--which is perfect for this ladies' man!

After church, we made a Valentine's themed breakfast!  This is one of my favorite things to do each holiday!  The kids loved it, and Bryan decided the heart shaped bacon is good for your heart!

Then, we gave the kiddos their goodies!

They are always so sweet and appreciative!
