A Concert and Artwork

Yesterday the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes had a concert. They sang lots of great songs! It was too cute!

Everyone Helped with the Move

This weekend, we took our big U-Haul down to San Antonio! Even though the furniture was heavy and the amount of boxes were daunting, it was fun and exciting!

Everyone helped move stuff into the house...even Sarah...in her tu-tu! It's amazing what you find when you move!

The Keys!

On Wednesday afternoon, (after two additional days of waiting!), we finally closed on our house! Bryan and I were so excited! We cannot wait to move our stuff down this weekend!

Although this picture shows him unlocking the door, the key actually didn't work in the deadbolt! After all of the delays with the closing, we finally got our keys, and they didn't work! Luckily, the vice president of building for the company lives across the street, so he came over to open it for us! Hot dog!

Party!

On Sunday afternoon, we had the graduation party for Bryan and Rachel. It was a blast! A lot of family and friends were there to celebrate and eat some BBQ!

Bryan's Diploma!

For the party, we just put it in a make-shift frame, so I'm excited about getting a nice frame soon to put in the office.

Rachel's fancy Undergraduate Research Scholar certificate. Her diploma from A&M will be mailed to her since she didn't actually walk so she could be at Bryan's graduation. What a great sister!!

We had such a great time at the party! I am so proud of both Rachel and Bryan on all of their accomplishments thus far, and I know that they will both do amazing things in the future--Rachel at Vanderbilt Graduate School and Bryan as an Anesthesia Resident!

Happy Birthday, Bryan!

Today, Bryan is 25! He's getting old! : ) I can't really throw stones though since I'm already 25!! I don't know what we're going to do to celebrate yet since right now, he's loading up our house into the U-Haul!

Happy Birthday, Bryan! You are the absolute best husband, friend, and Daddy! Thank you for being so great! I hope you have a wonderful birthday! I love you so much!

Graduation!

Bryan's graduation was such a great day! Bryan was so excited when Saturday afternoon finally rolled around. As he was walking into the auditorium with the rest of his classmates, he saw all of us in the audience and just smiled from ear to ear. Sarah loved when he would look over and wave to her from his seat! And when they finally called his name, we were yelling so loudly for him that we could barely him them announce that Bryan was graduating with honors.

Texas A & M

On Thursday, we drove down to College Station for Rachel's Award Presentation for her Research.

Award Ceremony Picture

Bryan and his classmates who also received the Presidential Scholar Award for being in the top ten percent and making the Dean's List all four semesters.

Awards

Bryan received two awards at the Awards Banquet tonight:  the President's Scholar Award for being in the top ten percent and making the Dean's List each semester and the Rural Track Award for being in the rural program for Family Medicine. I am so proud of him!

Shameless Bragging

First Sarah.... Sarah's new school asked us to bring a letter from her current teacher so they could place her in the most appropriate class. This is what Sarah's teacher wrote:

My name is Mia McDaniel and I am Sarah Crowder’s kindergarten teacher. The only thing that I can say about Sarah is that she is the best and most perfect student! The teacher who gets to have Sarah in his/her class next year will be so very lucky! Here are some of Sarah’s strengths:

Now on to Bryan.... This morning, we had to fax his Medical School transcripts to our loan officer. It was so long ago that Bryan was in the actual classroom, he and I forgot how great he did! His lowest grade from all of his courses was an 86. An 86! And most of his grades were in the 90's--he even got a 100 in one of the courses. I guess that's why his graduating 10th in his class on Saturday!

School is Back in Session

Last night on the news, they announced that Sarah's school district is going to resume classes this Friday, instead of on Monday as they originally planned. First of all, I think it's silly that the entire district closed due to one probable case of the Swine Flu, (although I do think it's better to be safe than sorry...). Secondly, if you're going to close down the district for a week and a half, follow through! Sarah is so sad that she has to go back one day early. Don't get my wrong, she loves school, but she has had the best time with Daddy over the past week. They have slept in, caught up on cartoons, played at the park, read lots of books, hung out with our neighbors, and went to see a movie. Both kiddos are sad...Sarah and Bryan.

Brownie Points

Today, Bryan and Sarah went to Central Market to pick up some produce. On the way out of the store, Bryan treated Sarah to some gelato. He also bought some for me! He put it in a new bowl and popped it in the freezer so it would be ready to go when I got home from work.

This is it--after I ate several bites!!
