Happy Birthday, Bryan!

Yesterday, Bryan turned 29!  We had such a great time celebrating him!

We actually started the festivities on Tuesday evening by using a gift card at Bryan's favorite restaurant for dinner.  The food was delicious, and we were even able to order dessert to go without the kids knowing--which we enjoyed together after tucking them in bed!

Yesterday morning, I made breakfast for Bryan--which included bacon and sausage because the birthday boy loves meat!  Bryan's on vacation this week, so I was intending on bringing his breakfast to him in bed, but it was the one day he actually woke up early, so he decided to just eat it on the couch!

It took Bryan a few days to decide what he wanted for his home cooked birthday meal, but he finally choose chicken and spinach cannelloni with bruschetta and chocolate pecan pie for dessert.  I love how the kids are looking at the camera, but Bryan's looking at the pie!  You would think it would be the other way around!

Helping Daddy blow out the candles!

Bryan is the absolute best husband and Daddy, and we hope he had a wonderful birthday!

Mother's Day

Yesterday, my wonderful family showered me with surprises and sweetness.

When Bryan and I were dating in high school, I called him my "dream hunk."  Then, I made him this shirt right before we got married and had it delivered to him as one of his wedding day gifts.  He surprised me by wearing it yesterday!
He also surprised me earlier in the week, by bringing home the dress I'm wearing, and saying, "Happy Wednesday!"  He is the best husband, and I am so grateful for him!

I am beyond blessed to be their Mommy!  And there is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for Sarah and Jackson.

Lost Tooth

A few nights ago, Sarah lost another tooth!  She's unfortunately too grown up now to believe in the Tooth Fairy, so lately she just shows us the hole in her mouth and asks for a dollar!  Haha!

Super Jackson Goes to the Park!

The weather was great this morning, so Jackson and I spent it at the park.  I told him he could take his superhero cape if he wanted, and he was got so excited!

When we got out of the car, he just stood there deciding what to do first.  Love it!

He really likes the slide!

This one kills me!  I cannot stand the cuteness!

After all of the sliding, he recited his letters!

Then, we finished off our visit with the swings!

Shut up!

This is Jackson's huge smile...

...and this is his coy smile that makes the ladies fall in love with him.

This is his pensive face.

This is his laughing face!

As always, we had a great time together!  I am so blessed to be able to stay at home with him!

Shopping Fun!

Saturday morning, the four of us went to one of our favorite stores--Lowe's!  Rain was not in the forecast whatsoever, but Jackson wanted to wear his rain boots anyway!

While we were there, one of the employees said, "Y'all have the cutest family!"  I thought it was so sweet!  I also completely agree with her!  Ha!

Yesterday afternoon, I took the kids to another favorite store, Old Navy, to get Sarah a new bathing suit.  Jackson just adores the Old Navy dog!

You're allowed to ride the dog, right?!

Sarah even wanted her picture taken with one of the mannequins!

After loving on the puppy, Jackson took off running!  I'm glad his Daddy wasn't there!!

One last hug to the girl that's just his size!

Making Breakfast

Last Saturday, Sarah and I made strawberry shortcake french toast for breakfast.  I always adore having her in the kitchen with me, so this was a great way to start off our weekend!

Flipping like a pro!

Bryan helped us too by whipping up the cream.  I think Jackson started feeling a little left out, because not long into the cooking process, he was scooting a little chair over to the island!  I put him on the chair and asked him to stir the whipped cream.  The next time I turned around, he was dipping bread into the cream!

Daddy took a picture of us in our matching aprons--which Jackson had to be a part of too!

This was Sarah and Mommy, (and Jackson in my tummy!), over three years ago making homemade buttermilk pancakes in our other matching aprons!
