The Letter "J"

I've been trying to teach Jackson how to write the letter "J" recently, and this morning, he wrote it by himself for the first time!!  I was so proud of him!!

He didn't want to take a picture with his accomplishment at first, so I took one without him!

Then, he wrote another "J" and let me take a picture of him!

I can't believe he's getting old enough to write!  He's still a baby in my mind!  Regardless, tomorrow morning, we're going to start working on letter "A"!

Fun at School

This month, they've had several theme days at Jackson's school.

First up, was pajama day!  Jackson loved going to school in his jammies!

Then, they got to take a special blanket to school for show and tell.

Jack chose to take his favorite blankie--the one that Sarah picked out for him before he was born!

This month they've also started working on writing!  We were so stinkin' proud of him when we saw this!

They had cowboy day this week, and I think this was his favorite!

When J came home from school on cowboy day he had this adorable bandana with his name and handprint on it!  I love it so much!

And today was team spirit day, so of course, Jackson wore one of his Aggie jerseys!

American Girl

Sweet Sarah has wanted an American Girl for a while now, so this morning, Bryan and I took her to get one as an early birthday gift!

Sarah loved being there!  She chose one that looks just like her!

She has the same hair color, blue eyes, and cute freckles!  We even found little black glasses to match!  She also picked out a special hairbrush and a little nightgown.  Sarah named her Emily--which is funny because that was one of the girl names in the running when we were pregnant with her!

Sarah was just precious--she kept thanking Daddy and me for taking her and getting her the doll!

We had a great morning spending quality time with our little princess!

We made reservations at their restaurant, so after picking Emily out, we all had brunch!

It was such a sweet morning!

Monday Fun

Yesterday, Sarah was out of school, so I took the kiddos to Starbucks for breakfast.

They're so sweet when they share!

I love how Jack's looking at her!

Then, we went to Lowe's...

 ...and were silly!

Our Weekend

Most weeks, Saturday mornings are our only chance to sleep in.  Well, this Saturday, Bryan and I woke up before 7!  So, after hanging out in bed for awhile, we took the kids to get donuts!

After breakfast, we went to Target to let the kids use their Christmas gift cards from Bryan's grandparents.  Sarah got a bunch of new books, and Jackson picked out a race track and new cars!  In the car, J told Daddy that he wanted to play "cars wif him"!  So, Daddy got to work building the track once we were home.

Jackson supervised!

They love playing together!

Once Jackson was tucked in for a nap, Sarah wanted to try out her new roller blades.

She learned how to skate in PE last semester, so she was really excited to use her own pair!

She's not that good at stopping, so when she wants to stop, she just falls down!

She had so much fun skating, and I had fun watching her!

On Sunday after church, we went to Starbucks and the grocery store.

Before dinner, we all played in the back yard.  Jack loves checking under the hood of his truck, and it cracks us up!

Jackson loves driving his truck!

He's saying "hi!" to the donkeys who live behind us!

While Jackson drove around, Sarah and Daddy played catch!

Then, J wanted to join in!

For dinner, Bryan grilled some steaks, and I made mac and cheese and sautéed spinach.  I love simple weekends with my sweet family!
