This afternoon, Jackson and I made a strawberry pie together! While we were making it, he said, "I really wish I could marry you! Why did you marry Daddy and not me?" He's just the cutest!

Dinner with Daddy
Daddy was on call last night, so we took dinner to him!
It was so nice to spend a little bit of time with him! And the pizza didn't hurt either!

Reading Nook
We have a little closet under the stairs that I thought would make the cutest reading nook for the kids!
I used Jackson's old mattress
and filled a book shelf that we've had for years with some of our favorites!
They were so excited to see it!
And J couldn't wait for Sissy to read him a book!
I have a feeling this little space is going to be used a lot!
Jackson and Mommy
"Will you hold me forever?"
Of course I will, sweet boy. Of course I will.
Goodness me, I love him so.

Cooking with Jackson
After Sarah cooked a couple of weeks ago, Jackson's been waiting for his turn to cook dinner all by himself! He decided to make French toast and yogurt parfaits!
He started by cutting the strawberries for the parfaits.
Then, he made the custard for the French toast.
He liked cracking the eggs all by himself, but he didn't like how messy it was!
He would clap after he flipped each piece of toast!
I love this one!
Assembling the parfaits! He said that he was going to give himself the most fruit since he cooked the whole meal!
He did a great job, and it was delicious! We all kept telling him at dinner how yummy everything was! He sweetly thanked us each time!

Sweet Sunday
Yesterday was full of some of our favorite things. Church, family time, Papa Bear's steaks, and swimming.
I am so grateful for these three.
A Note from Jackcon
Jackson loves writing notes to each of us. Yesterday, he made one for Sarah, and it melted my heart!
It says, "I love Sarah in all her heart. I love Sarah love Jackson. I hope you love Jackson."
Their relationship is just the sweetest!

A Sweet Day
Today was a sweet day. This morning, the kids and I went to a dear friend's house to cook with her daughter and her classmates. Sarah helped me teach them how to make their own sauce to go on mini pizzas, and then the girls all decorated sugar cookies! It was so fun, and I really appreciated Sarah's help! She's so great with kids!
Afterwards, I took the kids out for ice cream...before we ate lunch! We're big fans of dessert first!
This evening, while Sissy was at a sleepover and Bryan was at a work dinner, Jackson and I had a pool party for two! It was so much fun! And my goodness, he is fearless at jumping in the pool!

Brother's Day
Today was Brother's Day, and Jackson was really excited about it!
He gave me his order yesterday--peanut butter and jelly sandwich with grapes and oranges!
Sarah sweetly delivered his breakfast to him. We literally woke him up, hence, why he looks so out of it in this picture! I adore that his made up holiday focuses on these two loving and serving each other!

Sister's Day
Last year, Jackson created two new holidays--Sister's Day and Brother's Day! Today, it was Sister's Day!
Jackson made Sissy the sweetest card, and we picked out her favorite things for her breakfast in bed. On the tray, we also added a precious gift that he got her a couple of weeks that says, "Sisters make the best friends."
He was so excited to give Sarah her breakfast and goodies! And she had forgotten it was Sister's Day, so she was really excited when we woke her up with breakfast!

Baking with My Babies
Since it was raining this morning, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make sugar cookies and use Jackson's new Star Wars cookie cutters!
The kids love being in the kitchen!
They sweetly took turns rolling out the dough.
They're pretty smitten with each other!
The flour on J's face cracks me up! I don't even know how it happened!
He's a pro!
Their R2D2 and Darth Vader's cooling.
Yesterday when we were at the store, I had them pick out whatever colors of frosting they wanted to decorate their Star Wars characters.
They had so much fun decorating!
Their lovely creations!
