Ice Cream Sundaes

Bryan had a really long day at work yesterday, (at one of his hospital's that's an hour away).  Then, he went from there directly to his 7:00 PM Bible study.  So after I made the kids dinner, I thought ice cream sundaes would be fun!

I got out all of the goodies for them!

Then, Sarah sweetly made Jackson's and then hers!

Look at J's smile while Sarah's getting some sprinkles for him!

Here are their finished creations!  It was a fun little treat for dessert that they both loved!  I used all of my will power to wait until Bryan got home to have dinner and dessert!  We ate our ice cream at about 10:00 last night!

Picnic Dinner

Since Bryan was off yesterday, and the weather was so nice, we decided to have a picnic for dinner!

Who says weeknight dinners can't be cute?!

Bryan grilled hot dogs!

And I made my homemade mac and cheese in mason jars!

Sweet tea is a must for any picnic!

I made cherry pie pops for dessert!  Bryan thought that baking pies on sticks was silly, but I thought they were adorable!

I love this picture!  I love that Sarah's looking at the camera and smiling.  I love that Jackson has ketchup on his face.  I love that J made room for his lawn mower on the blanket.

Cheers!

While eating, the kids also made sure to play!

Jackson earning his keep by mowing!

After Daddy and I finished eating too, he and the kiddos played soccer--J played in his cowboy boots!

I love how Jackson's playing soccer while holding his mason jar cup!  That's talent!

I love watching Papa Bear and the kids play!

Daddy kicked the ball a little too close to Sarah!

Again, J with his cup!

After drinking all of his sweet tea, J was still thirsty, so Daddy helped with that!

We had such a great time eating dinner outside and playing together!

Daddy's Helper

Bryan was post-call yesterday, so J and I had the pleasure of going out to breakfast and the grocery store with him!

As we were getting ready to leave the house, J got on his cowboy boots (obviously!) and then he started helping Daddy put on his shoes!

It was the sweetest thing!  Bryan called me over to see, and I had to grab the camera (obviously!)!

He's such a sweet little helper!

A Fire Truck

Saturday, we were invited to a birthday party of a little boy whose Dad works with Bryan.  As excited as he was, Jackson feel asleep on the 30 minute drive to the party!

Before we even got to the front door of the party house, a huge fire truck pulled up!  I didn't even know fire departments came to birthday parties!

Jackson was actually a little hesitant to get on the fire truck at first, (which is weird because he loves fire trucks--and has two that he plays with everyday!).  But once he felt more comfortable, you couldn't get him off!

I don't know who this older boy is, but I love how J's smiling at him!

Jackson in his cowboy boots kill me!  So cute!

The three firefighters at the party were so nice!

I couldn't get J to turn around and look at the camera, but the fireman did a great job!  Ha!

How cool that he's sitting in the driver seat and steering!

This picture is not the best quality, but I love the sweetness of it!

I clearly--as with most occasions!--took way too many pictures, but it's not everyday that Jackson gets to play in a fire truck!  One actually came to his school in the fall, but I wasn't there to take pictures, so I think I made up for that at this party!
