I am so blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. I absolutely LOVE it! One of my favorite things about staying home with Jackson is that I can take pictures of him everyday. I did the same thing when Sarah was his age, and I just adore looking back at those snapshots of her!
One morning when I went in to wake him up, this is what I saw. He took his shirt off and attempted to put it back on again. He was actually quite proud of himself! Don't get me started on his bedhead!
Jackson loves riding on Sissy's stick unicorn! Luckily, he now has his own boy stick pony!
Love!
Some of Jackson's favorite toys are his Thomas the trains, and he loves making them go under furniture and watching them come out on the other side!
Jack adores reading books! He will sit in my lap and let me read a dozen books to him at one time. And when he sits down by himself to look at a book, it just warms my heart.
Some of the books we've read a million times--like this Curious George book--he has memorized. I love when he recites the books to me!
Jackson loves brushing his little teeth, and as with everything he does, I just think it's so cute!
He likes waiting outside of the bathroom when people are using it--especially when they're using the little hallway bathroom. When just he and I are at home together, he'll usually follow me into the actual bathroom, and he always tells me "good job!" Ha!
He is the cutest!
He loves playing with trains, and I love when he takes my hand and says, "Pwease wanna build trains wif Mama!" I can't say no to that! This is actually from Sarah's first day of school--I knew that building a huge train track would keep his mind off the fact that Sissy was gone!
Practicing his golf swing in the foyer.
A juice box in the bath tub...he's livin' the good life!
This is a picture of an outfit that he picked out all by himself! It's fun to watch him become more independent and opinionated (for the most part!). Don't worry, we didn't leave the house while he was wearing this!
Just like Daddy, he loves the Aggies!
One morning after we dropped Sarah off at school, Jackson made breakfast for the two of us--a hot dog, chicken, and corn on the cob, complete with bbq sauce and ketchup! I love these sweet little moments. And I love his blue eyes!
One evening, he put the tongs from his grill on his ears, and said, "Wook! I a doctor!" We laughed so hard! He actually has a play stethoscope, but I just love his little imagination!
Although it's blurry, I love this picture!!
Playing with a tractor and wearing an awesome Aggie shirt from Aunt Rachel and Uncle Gus!
A few weeks ago, it rained for several days in row, so I put lentils and his tractors in a big bucket. He loved it and kept saying, "Whoa! Cool!"
I walked into the den one day and found this! Being the excellent Mom that I am, I grabbed the camera before telling him to get down!
One of his new favorite things to do is hop into the fridge when he's putting something in there. He picked out his clothes on this day too!!
Now that it's cold, Bryan wears his slippers in the evening. Before we go to bed, he leaves them out in our room where he knows Jack will find them. And each morning, Jackson gets so excited to put Daddy's big slippers on!
Last week, he and I baked a cake together. As I had my back turned getting more eggs out of the fridge, he cracked his first egg all by himself! Instead of getting upset, I just got the camera!
Jackson's getting so big and independent--it makes me happy and sad all at the same time! Yesterday before leaving for school, he put his shoes on all by himself!
He was so proud of himself! And I was proud of him too! (I love his little tongue sticking out in concentration!)
