This year, Elf on the Shelf came to visit us for the first time! He hides in a different spot each day, and the kids love trying to find him every morning--some days, they needed our help to spot him. After the first couple of days, J would wake up and shout, "Namebe!" then immediately start looking for him once we brought him downstairs!
Some days, he would show off his acrobatic skills.
Other days, he would just find a good spot to watch over the wee ones and make sure they were being good to report back to Santa.
One time, Pip Namebe was naughty to show what not to do! Sarah said she already knew not to draw on picture frames! That's good!
A couple of times, he even brought the kids little presents! This was a definite favorite!
The kids loved the powdered donuts he left to go with breakfast one morning!
Jackson had never had powdered donuts before. He loved them...go figure! Is this not the most adorable sugar-covered face?!
On Christmas morning, Pip was holding baby Jesus. He is the true reason for Christmas.
Since Pip was part of the Nativity scene that we kept on a little table, Jackson thought that meant he could finally hold him! He hugged and kissed Pip Namebe so many times Christmas morning!
Later, I found Jackson coloring with some new crayons that we got him (one of his favorite gifts), while Pip was sitting in a chair right next to him. So cute!
