In June, while Jackson was at camp, we drove down to Austin to spend a few days with our college baby!
We rented a cute little house in Austin, picked her up, and immediately started taking pictures. Typical.

On the first night, we went to dinner at a hole in the wall Thai restaurant, and the food was so amazing that we still talk about it to this day.
When you're with Sarah, you drink a lot of coffee, and it's wonderful.
While we were with Sarah, we played games, watched "Somebody Feed Phil," our favorite, and stayed up way too late each night laughing and talking. It was truly the best!

On our last morning, we went to our favorite coffee shop. It's right on Lake Travis, and they have the most incredible pastries...of which we shared several!
...
A couple of days after getting back from Austin with our first baby, we went to pick up our second baby from camp.
Jackson was standing outside of his cabin with his roommates and counselor when he saw us and ran several yards until he got to us and gave me the famous "Jackson bear hug"! It was the sweetest thing, and I hope I never forget it!

One of the great traditions at Pinecove, is that the counselor picks 3 special characteristics that he sees in each camper, and then writes them down and gives them to the kiddo. They also tell them why they chose those specific qualities, and it's such an encouragement and blessing to Jack.
We were so glad to have Jack back home! And we celebrated at his favorite restaurant, Babe's, where they serve his favorite food, chicken fried steak!
...
At the end of June, Sarah came home to be here for Jack's birthday, and it was great!
So, we did what we always do when we're all four together...
...and have really great Mexican food that we capped off with a chocolate piñata!

Sarah and I fit in several coffee dates while she was here.

We also went on some coffee dates with Jack, and when I'm with both my babies, I'm so happy!
We celebrated Jack's 12th birthday!
For his meal, he chose blackened salmon, calamari, roasted broccoli, and mac and cheese.
And for dessert, creme brûlée!

We ended up doing a second birthday celebration--this time with a cake!
We love Jackson so much, and we are so proud of him!
We also can't believe he's 12!
Papa Bear and Sarah went out on a date while she was here, and they sent me this picture while they were out!
On the morning Sarah left to head back down to Austin, I managed to snap this picture of her and J saying bye. Oh, my Mama heart.
