We had a great time visiting our hometown of Ft. Worth over the weekend!
Jackson slept in on Friday morning--well after the rest of us were up--but once he was awake, Sarah really wanted him to climb into her bed! You'll have to excuse his bed-head!
The Water Gardens were right across from our hotel, so we did a little exploring before heading out for the day.
Sarah was too nervous to climb down with Daddy, but she did enjoy watching him do it!
Once Daddy climbed out of the water area, he and Sarah climbed up this structure that's called "The Mountain."
They are too cute!
After the Water Gardens, we went on a walk in our old neighborhood. We've been on countless walks through this area, and it was fun to take Jackson with us for the first time.
While walking, Jack fell...several times!...and he got some pretty bad scrapes on his little knees. He didn't cry at the time, he would just get back up and have me kiss his boo-boos. But once we got in the car, and he could really see his knees, he lost it! Poor guy!
After a wonderful stroll, we went to take pictures in front of the newest building of Bryan's old medical school. They built it after he graduated, so it was neat for us to see it for the first time. We figured Bryan's tuition helped pay for it, so why not get some pictures out of the deal!
Look at how sweet they look in front of the building...
...now look at that same picture up close! J was still not happy about his knees!
Next up, we met my Dad for lunch at Ol' South Pancake House. It's a Ft. Worth institution close to TCU. It was so wonderful to see my Dad and have a great meal! I love this picture--we were looking into the sun, so our faces crack me up!!
Before saying bye, my Dad gave the kiddos these adorable Halloween treats! Even though we just had a huge meal, J wanted some M&M's right then!
Jackson is pretending to be asleep here on the way to Bryan's parents' house! He is such a ham!
