Happy Birthday, Sarah!

12 years ago today, God blessed us with our little princess!  She was 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and 19.5 inches long. We never knew we could love someone so much until she was placed in our arms. Although she's 12 today, she will always be our baby!

Great Job, Sarah!

Tuesday night, we went to the school board meeting where Sarah was presented with an award for receiving first place in our district for UIL Social Studies!

Before we left, the kiddos were loving on each other, and I had to grab the camera!!

So cute!

As always, we are so proud of Sarah!

After the awards ceremony, Sarah got to pick where she wanted to go for dinner to celebrate!  She chose Fuzzy's Tacos and frozen yogurt!

Way to go, Sarah!

Reading Together

Sunday morning, as I was rushing around getting ready for church, I overheard sweet Sarah not only reading a book to her little brother, but also teaching him to read. Some words Jackson already knew and said proudly, and other words they sounded out together.

It was the most precious thing. So, I stopped what I was doing to snap a picture because I always want to remember the sweetness.

I just love them!

Happy Mommy

When I was little, all I wanted to be was a wife and mommy when I grew up.  God blessed me with my amazing husband and these two precious souls, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't thank Him profusely for them!

They truly make me a happy mommy!

Erin Stinks

The other night while I was making dinner, my third child (my husband!) was making this!  He's lucky he's cute!  When Sarah came down for dinner, she changed it to "Dad stinks" for me!

Valentine's Day

Last week, Jackson and I worked on Valentine's cards for his class.  He was so "cited!" to put them together!

He picked out dinosaur cards and put his name and a heart sticker on each one.

Then, J put stickers all over his box.

We put a granola bar with each dinosaur card.

Jackson picked out tulips to give to his teachers.

Such a ladies man!

On the way to school on Thursday morning, Jackson asked me to come to his Valentine's party!  I was already planning on coming, but it was so sweet of him to ask me!

He loved getting Valentine's from each of his friends!

J loved passing out his cards!

I loved the little art projects he made at school!

On Saturday morning, I made the kids a heart shaped cake for breakfast!  They loved it!

Then, we gave them boxes of chocolates and little gifts!

Anniversary Details

Yesterday was our 12th wedding anniversary!

Several months ago, I bought Bryan this print of the first song we danced to after we got married.  We decided not to get each other gifts this year...since we just bought a house and all!...so a few days before our anniversary, I had this waiting in our bedroom for Bryan.  He loved it!

On Saturday night, we went to Ruth's Chris for dinner.  It's become our anniversary spot!  We had a great meal by candlelight and truly enjoyed ourselves!

Before we head out each year for our anniversary date, Sarah's always so sweet to take pictures of us!

He still gives me butterflies!

On Sunday evening, our awesome church offered free babysitting, so we went out on a second date!

This time, instead of a fancy restaurant, we picked up Schlotzsky's (which is where we had our first date), and had a picnic in the bed of Bryan's truck.

We watched the sunset, then picked out constellations, all while talking about our favorite memories of our marriage.  It was so much simpler than our first date, but it was by far our favorite!

I am so grateful for our sweet marriage and so in love with my husband.

Rain Boots

Over two and a half years ago, I bought Jackson his first pair of rain boots.  They were a couple of sizes too big when I bought them on clearance at Target, but I figured that meant he could just wear them for a long time.  And boy has he!

This was J's first time to try out his new rain boots.  He had just turned 2 years old, and it had been raining all week--perfect for puddle jumpin'!

It was love at first jump!

Since then, Jackson has worn his rain boots everywhere from the park to church!

Looking back at these old pictures makes me miss my baby...and his chubby cheeks!

After two and a half years, his rain boots have finally started coming apart, so I got him a new pair!  He asked for blue ones and was so excited when they got here!  Today, we tried them out for the first time, and just like his old ones, J loves these!

It doesn't get any cuter!

And today, instead of jumping in puddles with his rain boots, Jackson climbed rocks!

I love Jackson, and I love his rain boots!
