During the Fall semester, one of Sarah's classes was Band. And she loved it! Towards the end of 5th grade, you can decide if you want to play an instrument and officially be in the Band starting in 6th grade. Yesterday, Sarah got to choose her instrument! She had it narrowed down to 3 instruments she wanted to try: French horn (like Mommy played), trumpet (like Daddy played), or saxophone. The French horn class was already full by the time it was Sarah's turn (which we don't understand what that means!), so she chose trumpet! She was so excited to tell us when she got home! We're going to get Daddy's trumpet cleaned up in the next few days so he can start teaching Sarah Bear how to play! We love that she's taking after us and joining Band! Some of our favorite memories and best friends from school are from Band! We know she's going to have a blast!

Afternoon Movie
This afternoon, we all piled on the couch to watch Frozen together!
You can't have a family movie without popcorn, so we had three different kinds!
The kids love movies and popcorn!
Jackson sweetly snuggled with Sissy then with me for a little bit, but then he started asking a thousand questions about the movie making it hard for the rest of us to hear! At least he's a cute turkey!
Oreos and Milk
Yesterday, I made the kids a classic after school snack--Oreos and milk!
They were excited!
You have to dunk them!
This picture cracks me up!
Can you tell Jackson likes cookies?!
A simple snack and a lot of sweetness!
Jackson and His Truck
Yesterday after picking Jackson up from school (and before picking up Sarah), we spent time driving the truck in the backyard.
J loves driving his truck--especially because it's just like Daddy's!
Checkin' under the hood!
Before going inside, Jack was thirsty, so he took it upon himself to turn on the hose!
He is too much!
Report Card
On Wednesday, Sarah brought home her third report card of the year. And our genius daughter did super again! She made all A's: a 97, a 98, and four 99's! We are so proud of our baby!

The Sky
We talked about God's beautiful sky again this morning...
Mommy: Look at the moon!
Jackson: Whoa!
Mommy: When does the moon come out?
Jackson: It comes out at a'clock!
Mommy: At o'clock?
He is so sweet and cute and funny!
Mommy: Look at the moon!
Jackson: Whoa!
Mommy: When does the moon come out?
Jackson: It comes out at a'clock!
Mommy: At o'clock?
Jackson: At moon a'clock! It comes out in the dark. The sky goes away, and the dark comes out.
Mommy: What colors do you see in the sky?
Jackson: Pank, blue, orange. God made the sky! He made it pretty for Sissy!
He is so sweet and cute and funny!

Sunrise
This morning as I was taking Sarah to school, we couldn't help but notice the beautiful sunrise. I asked Jackson who made the sky, and he exclaimed, "Jesus!!" I laughed and said, "God made the sky!" Then we all said, "Good job, God!" Jackson said, "God made the trees and the houses. What else God made?!" We talked about all the amazing things our awesome God made on the way home and thanked Him for everything. This is one of the many reasons why I love being a Mommy. Thank you, God!
"Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your heart. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:5-6:7

Hotel Fun
The kids loved being at the hotel this weekend!
They watched a couple of movies together on the laptop.
This little trip was the first time that we haven't requested a crib for Jack while at a hotel, and I didn't know how well he and Sarah would sleep in a big bed together. They loved it! On Saturday when we woke up, this is how J was sleeping--obviously not leaving much room for Sarah!
One of their favorite things to do was make pretend calls on the hotel phone!
Jackson getting comfortable on Sissy!
They are so sweet together!
Bowling and a Movie
Sunday morning, we woke up at 8:30 to the sound of the kids laughing in their bed at the hotel. It was so sweet!
After breakfast at La Madeleine, we went bowling!
It was Jackson's first time bowling, so Daddy showed him the ropes!
Look at how cute she is!
Papa Bear bringing up the rear!!
Stud!
Papa Bear still bringing up the rear!
This is one of my favorites!
I love that J's watching his ball all the way down the lane!
Sarah's the best helper to her little brother!
About half way through our first game, Jackson was over it. Bryan and I were bummed because this was his first time bowling, and we thought he would love it! So, I took a picture of our final scores--with Jack in the lead and Bryan somehow in second place!--and we headed out.
We went to the movies to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and we all loved it!
After the movie, the kids and I headed home while Bryan stayed behind to make sure he didn't have any more cases to do. We had such a fun family-filled weekend, and I'm so grateful that Bryan thought of it!
