Ranger Game

Sunday afternoon, we went to The Ranger game with my family.  Sarah had never been to a Ranger game, and Jackson had never been to a baseball game at all, so it was fun to experience this with them!  It was miserably hot, but we all had a great time enjoying each other's company!

The kiddos received free jerseys, and Sarah loved hers!!  Despite how hot it was, she wore it most of the time!  I can't wait to put Jack's on him!

 Sharing lemonade!

 Grampy with Sarah and Jackson!

Big J wearing Uncle Zach's hat and using his phone!  Luckily, my brother is great with the kids and always shares!

Beara looking cool in Uncle Zach's sunglasses!

Jackson's favorite part of the whole game was clapping as they announced the Ranger's players!!  I just love that face!

Cooling off with a Lemon Chill!

 Sarah loved using Grandpa's binoculars!

Right before I took this picture, she said, "Come on, guys!  Are we going to strike it out or what?!"

Date Night!

Saturday night, Bryan's parents kept the kiddos so I could take him out for his birthday dinner.  Bryan's favorite food is steak, and he's always wanted to try Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, so that's where we went.  The food was amazing, and we had a great time just the two of us!  While we love curling up on the couch after tucking the kids in bed to talk and watch TV, it was nice to actually go out for a date!

Our sweet waitress took a picture of us!

After dinner, we walked around downtown Ft. Worth, visited the Thomas Kincaid gallery, and picked up some fudge at a chocolate shop.

Then, we went back to our old neighborhood and enjoyed frozen custard on a park bench.  This picture was taken with Bryan's phone as the sun was setting, so it's pretty bad, but I still love it!  It was our first out-of-the-house date night in three months, and it was wonderful!

Duck Pond

While we were in Keller, we had to take the wee ones to the duck pond.  We took Sarah a lot when she was younger, so it was really special for us to visit it again!

Jack adores all animals, so he was really excited when we arrived!

If Daddy wasn't there to stop him, I think Bubba would have followed that duck into the pond!

 Sarah loves feeding the ducks...

...which is great, because when we gave Jack a slice of bread to give to the ducks, he took a bite out of it, then threw it on the ground!

Love this one!

I took this one with my phone, and it's one of my favorites of the whole day!

Family Time

While we were in Ft. Worth, we spent a lot of time with our families!

On Thursday night, Bryan's Nana took us to Gloria's, one of our favorite restaurants.

She adores both of her great-grandbabies, and they adore her right back!

Just a sweet picture of Bubs in the car on the way to dinner!

Friday night, we went to Bryan's parents' house for a yummy dinner!
This picture is three generations trying to get Jack on Grandpa's back!

Bryan's Dad took Sarah fishing twice--she caught a few catfish...and a few turtles!

Hotel Fun!

Last Thursday, we drove to Ft. Worth to visit our families.  It's the first time we've been up there in 2 and a half years.  Sarah has really missed it, and it was so fun to take Jackson back to our hometown!
We stayed in a hotel, and both the kids loved it!

Jackson played with this phone the majority of the time we were in the room--we just unplugged it the first day!

Sarah thought this was the fanciest hotel!  She loved this "princess pillow!"

When we arrived, one of the staff members asked if we'd ever been there.  I told him that Bryan and I stayed at the hotel the night we got married.  When we got back in our room that evening, we had cookies, truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, and

milk waiting for us.  There was also a card congratulating us on our anniversary!  Haha!!

The boys snuggling.

We spent Friday morning at the hotel pool, and the kids had a blast!

 Jackson saying "Whoa!"

I love their faces in this one!

Bryan's Birthday!

Yesterday, Bryan turned 28!  We went to one of his favorite restaurants on Sunday, so last night, I made him dinner.

Papa Bear's favorite meal of the day is breakfast, so that's what we had for dinner.  I made eggs, bacon and sausage, cherry danishes, blueberry cream cheese coffee cake, and dip to go with the fresh fruit.

Then for dessert, Bryan requested homemade peach cobbler.
Jackson thought the lit candles were really neat!

Happy Birthday, Bryan!  We love you and hope you had a wonderful day!
