Sarah’s First Day of School

Yesterday was sweet Sarah’s first day of school.  Her first day of college.  She and her roommate took first day of school pictures, and then she told me all about her first class on the phone afterwards.  It wasn’t the same as her coming through the back door and telling me all about her day, but I’ll take what I can get!  Although today is only her second day of college, we’re already so proud of her!

First Day of School Treat

I couldn’t wait to pick Jackson up from school yesterday and hear all about his first day!  So, when we all went out for dinner and his first day of school treat, he told us all about it!

Today was pretty good.

I got lost going to band and history, so I had to ask someone, but tomorrow, I’ll probably be able to find it!

I like band, but where’s my saxophone?

By the way, I love having to go upstairs for my first class.  But upstairs is so crowded!

My favorite class is English!  Mr. Pelt is so nice and has a huge library and lets us listen to music!

My lunch was good.  We can eat outside; I’m going to tomorrow!

I liked math too.  We played a game in there, but we didn’t win.

The girl I used to have a crush on in second grade was in my science class.

I liked history too.  The teacher was super old…like 45!

As always, Jackson never disappoints when he’s retelling his day!

First Day of School

Today is Jackson’s first date of 6th grade.  His first day of
middle school.  I cannot believe he’s already old enough to be in middle school!

He’s the cutest!

When we dropped him off this morning, I cried.  Bryan made fun of me.  We both prayed that he would have a great day and that he would let his light shine.

Jackson's Birthday!

Over the weekend, we celebrated our littlest baby turning 11!

Looking back at the pictures of Jackson from the day he was born, makes it even harder to believe that it was 11 years ago.

To celebrate, we went to Medieval Times--one of his favorite places!

Then, on Sunday, his actual birthday, he opened presents as soon as he woke up!

Even though he's 11, he will always be our baby!

Jackson's Last Day of School

Jackson's last day of school was May 21st.  We were out of town with Sarah at the time, so I took pictures of them as if it was their last day, before we left.

This was Jackson on his first day of school.

This is him after an amazing 5th grade year!
He not only grew taller, but he has glasses now!  He ended the year being awarded for A/B Honor Roll!

Love him!

Their last day of school...and their last school picture together.  I cannot.

Prom

About a month ago, Sarah had prom.  She was so excited because prom last year was cancelled.

Beautiful.

All the girls came to our house to get ready, and then we took several pictures of them!

Galveston

A couple of months ago, we took a road trip to Galveston, a place that we've been to more times than we can count.  It's the first place we went on vacation when Sarah was a baby, when we couldn't afford to go anywhere else, but we keep going back because it holds a place in our hearts.

The house we rented had an amazing view of the private beach that was just a few yards away.  It was beautiful.

Jackson loves the water.

One of the things we always do is go for a walk along the pier, and we always take this picture.

Always.

I love recreating these pictures because you can really see how much the kids have grown and changed.

One of my new favorite pictures of Jackson.

We even attempted to recreate this one!  He's just a little bit bigger now.

And we always stop at our favorite ice cream shop--

at least a couple of time!

He's my favorite.

I loved just watching their conversation!

He would live in the ocean if he could.

This boy.

This girl.

This hunk.

In addition to spending time at the beach, we also love to just hang out together at the house.

Game night is a must on every trip!

As usual, we had the best time being together at the beach!
