At the beginning of January, we picked Sarah up in Austin and then headed to an Air B&B in the Hill Country for a long and wonderful family weekend.
Diamond was super excited when we made it to Sarah's apartment!
The home we stayed at was in the most beautiful and secluded place. We loved watching the sun set each day.

We went on a long hike--our first one with Diamond--and we had so much fun enjoying each other's company and the beautiful park.

When we weren't hiking, we were spending time on the porch. Jackson loved the hammock!
We played games and watched movies and stayed up way too late.
Then, before heading out from our little house, we took one more family picture on the porch,
grabbed breakfast on Lake Travis, and then dropped Sarah back off at her apartment. It was a special weekend, and we're so grateful we got to do it.
...
January was also the completion of two of our bathrooms being renovated.

This is our hall bath before...
...when the only time the clawfoot tub was used, was when J was still taking baths!
And this is the after! They turned the tub into a shower as well, so now it's actually useful!
We also had the master bathroom completely renovated. We took out the soaking tub--that we never used--and had an enormous shower put in it's place.

This is Bryan plucking my gray hairs in the old bathroom...
And this is him plucking my gray hairs in the new bathroom!
Bryan and I actually did the door to the water closet ourselves. We bought an unfinished door, then sanded it and stained it.

The only thing that made it back into the bathroom, was this big print from the song that was our first dance at our wedding.
We could not love it more!
