Yesterday, I wrapped all the kids' Christmas gifts! I was so excited to be finished, but afterwards, I hid them again instead of putting them under the tree...Sarah and Jackson are great at shaking their presents and correctly guessing what they are!
Jackson's in choir this year, and yesterday, they took a field trip to a local hospital and a few nursing homes to sing Christmas carols! Their first stop was at the hospital that Bryan works at, and he got to go see them!
In the days leading up to the field trip, J was so excited! But he said his favorite part of the trip was seeing Daddy!
This week with dinner, we had our first hot chocolate bar of the month! It's always our favorite, and I never quite feel like it's December until we make cocoa!
Over the weekend, we went to our Supper Club Christmas dinner, and we were supposed to wear our ugly sweaters. I wore Bryan's sweater, and this is what he wore...
Over the weekend, J asked me if Daddy had any days off this week. He just so happened to have Tuesday off. So, Jackson said that on Tuesday morning--just because!--he was going to surprise Daddy with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in bed. And sure enough, yesterday morning, as we were hitting the snooze button a couple of times, we heard some banging in the kitchen. I went to check on everything and found Jackson making Papa Bear a sandwich!
This year for Halloween, we did things a little different. Instead of going trick-or-treating, got all of Jackson's favorite candy and then, we went to his favorite restaurant.
He LOVED being his favorite villain--Darth Vader!
So, Darth ate his weight in chicken fried steak...
...then got ice cream...
...and we all went to bed early! It was a win-win-win!
Bryan and I met in 8th grade, became best friends in 9th grade, then graduated high school as sweethearts. Shortly thereafter, we were married. Then, God blessed us with our two precious children, Sarah and Jackson. We hope you enjoy these little peeks into our family's life!
