Mother's Day

Yesterday, we celebrated Mother's Day!  Growing up, I always wanted to be a wife and a mom, so I'm literally living out my dream!

I thank God every day for blessing me with these two cuties!

They're my heart and soul.  My happy place.

Jackson's hand placement!

Goodness, they're my favorite!

Sarah made me this beautiful painting.

Jackson made me this picture frame at school.

He also made me this little book.

This is the back of it.

This is what he made me at church yesterday morning.  It says, "Thank you for always making me my dinner.  I love you.  Love Jackson."  He's the cutest!

After church, we had Bryan's family over for a Mother's Day brunch!

The drink station.

The food table.

We had French toast...

...with all the fixins!

Egg and bacon casserole.

I made these little frogs for Bryan's mom,

and we got their favorite candy.

We had all kinds of meat,

two kinds of scones,

fruit salad,

and cherry Danish.

Indoor Picnic

Last night, we were going to eat outside, but then, ants took over our table after I washed it with soap, so we moved the picnic inside!

The boys grilled hamburgers, and for some reason, whenever they grill, Jackson feels the need to take his shirt off!  Papa Bear never does that, so I don't know where J got that idea!

J loved having his own spatula!

Even though we didn't end up eating outside as planned, we had the best time together!  I am so grateful for my family...and for Bryan's cheeseburgers!

Texas by Jackson

They made Texas out of salt dough at school, and Jackson couldn't wait to show us!

He's the cutest!

A Great Evening

Yesterday evening, dinner was in the oven, brownies were cooling on the counter, worship music was playing, Sarah was practicing her trumpet, and these two were playing checkers.

It was the sweetest ending to a great weekend.

Daddy made a bad move, and started losing, then made a comeback to win.  Jackson's already vowed that Daddy's going down next time!  Ha!

No More Training Wheels!

Three weekends ago, Papa Bear took Jackson's training wheels off his bike!  J was so excited!

Daddy started out holding on to him.

Then, Daddy let Jackson go.

Jackson did great!

After riding his bike, Jackson wanted to play basketball with Daddy!

They love playing basketball together!

I know this is mean, but this picture cracks me up!

Last week after school, Jackson and I practiced riding his bike more!

He did so great!

We are so proud of him!

I can't believe how big he's getting!

He's riding his back without training wheels, and next time I blink, he'll be leaving for college!

His smile kills me!

I just love him so much!
