Trumpet Lesson

Yesterday, three out of the four of us were sick, so we actually skipped church--something we rarely do.  But in the afternoon, when Sarah started practicing her upcoming trumpet solo, Daddy went upstairs to listen to it and give her some pointers.

It was such a sweet little moment that I didn't want to miss.

Sarah's doing great on her trumpet, and Daddy loves that they now both play it!

Sleeping Baby

On Tuesday night, Jackson fell asleep on his floor again.  And again, I had to take a picture of the cuteness.  I also had to thank God again for blessing us with this sweet boy.
And as if the dog being used as a pillow, the train, and the lone lincoln log wasn't boy enough, when I picked him up to tuck him in bed, he exclaimed, "Joker did it!"

Kindergarten for Jackson

Today, after I picked Jackson up from church, we went to the elementary school to register him for Kindergarten!

I can't believe he's already that old!  I still remember the night he was born, and I'm pretty sure not enough time has passed since then for him to be getting ready for school!

Jackson was so excited to see his new school, and while we were there, he even got to meet his teacher!

He can't wait to be 5!  Mommy, however, can!!

I just can't get over how fast my littlest baby is growing up!

Baking with Jackson

This morning, Jackson and I stayed warm by baking a cake!

He loves being in the kitchen, and he's always the best little helper!

He did a great job using the mixer all by himself!

At this point, the cord was wrapped around the bowl!

Once the cake was out of the oven and cooling, we made the frosting.  And of course, we had to taste it to make sure it was just right!

I caught him going in for a lick!

Jackson loved frosting the cake all by himself!

He did a super job!  We can't wait to eat our creation with Daddy and Sissy after dinner tonight!

Sleeping Baby

Yesterday evening, I went to check on Jackson, and he was sleeping in his doorway again.  So again, I had to take a picture.

Sweet boy.

Sunday

Today was full.  Full of Jesus, board games, singing, homework help, laughing, story time, football in the foyer, and homemade hot chocolate. I love Sundays.

A Snowman!

It snowed all day on Friday, but by the time Bryan got home from work, we just stayed inside and made dinner.  Saturday, after sleeping in, we planned on building a snowman.  So finally, when it stopped raining, we all got bundled up and went outside.  Since it had rained most of the day, there was a layer of ice over the snow, making it harder to build the snowman...but that didn't stop us!

In between helping with the snowman, the kids would run around throwing snowballs at each other and laughing!  It was so fun to watch!

They are so cute!

Jackson has never built a snowman, so he was really excited!

Being together and building a snowman was my favorite!

It started raining again, so we decided our little snowman was big enough!  I tried to put oreo eyes and a peppermint mouth on him, but they wouldn't stick because of the ice.  And then, right before we took this picture, Jackson knocked over the top half!  So, we had to build him again!

We all had so much fun working together to make this little guy!
