New Shoes and a New Jacket

For Christmas, we got Sarah a new pair of Converse shoes that she picked out.

She's worn them almost every day since Christmas!

Grand Nana got Jackson a Spiderman jacket, and he think it's awesome!

The first time he wore it, he exclaimed, "I can save the day!"

A New Puppy

For Christmas, sweet Sarah made Jackson a stuffed puppy!  She sewed the whole thing all by herself!  He slept with it for the first time about a week ago, and he loves it!

Sarah's the best big sister, and Jackson adores his new puppy!

A Look Back

2014 was such a sweet year for our family, and we are so grateful to God for all that His blessings!

The year began with Sarah bringing home 4 medals for her UIL work.  She received 2 gold medals for earning 1st place in Number Sense and Social Studies, as well as a gold and a silver medal for being part of the 1st and 2nd place teams in those subjects!!  We are always so proud of her!

For an early birthday treat, Bryan and I took Sarah to the American Girl store to get her doll, Emily!  We had such a fun day with our little girl!

Bryan and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary!  He still gives me butterflies!

Daddy and Sarah went to their first Daddy-Daughter Dance and had a great time together!  I know they'll always remember their special night!

Our baby girl somehow turned 11!!  We began the morning with birthday cake pancakes, then, I made her the dinner and dessert she requested--crockpot spaghetti with Caesar salad and homemade brownies topped with homemade frosting!

We spent lots of great family time together!

We took the kids bowling--it was J's first time!

Sarah started playing trumpet--just like her Daddy!

Bryan had to go to Chicago to take his oral board exam for Anesthesia, and he invited me to go!  I was really hesitant at first because it would be a few days away from the kids, but I'm so glad he talked me into it!  We had a great time!!  We ate Chicago pizza at Giordano's, we went to a Cubs game, we saw all of the sights, and we celebrated with a fancy dinner after his exam!  It was such a sweet trip--except for the subway!

Jackson had his first dentist appointment!  He did great, so we took him out for a treat afterwards!

We took pictures in the bluebonnets!

We dyed Easter eggs for the first time and had a blast!

We celebrated Easter by reading the story of Jesus's resurrection, going to church, then having an Easter egg hunt!

We went out for a special lunch after church to celebrated Bryan passing his board exam!!

We celebrated Mother's Day, and it was so sweet!  Sarah made me my favorite breakfast before church, then when we got home, I had a tea party with Sarah and built a train track with Jackson!

Bryan turned 30!  So, we made him homemade cupcakes, got him 30 gifts, and took him to one of his favorite restaurants!

Jackson went from a crib to a big boy bed!

Sarah had an awards ceremony at school where she received Excellence in Social Studies and Smartest Mathematician!

We celebrated Father's Day with the best Daddy there is!

Over the summer, we went to Georgia to visit Bryan's grandparents--the kids' great grandparents!  It was so wonderful to spend time with them!

While we were there, we went on a drive-thru animal safari!  The kids loved it!

We also had a great family day swimming!

Jackson turned 4!  He had birthday cake pancakes for breakfast, then he wanted chicken fettuccine alfredo for dinner and a chocolate cake for dessert, so that's just what he got!  After dinner, we surprised him with a new bike!

We had Jackson's birthday party at a local ranch, and he loved it!

We spent family time together making homemade pizzas...

...and yummy s'mores!

Sarah started the 6th grade, and I still can't believe it!

Jackson started his second year of preschool!

Sarah started playing volleyball!  She's awesome!

Jackson started playing soccer!

Sarah started volunteering each Sunday in one of the 2 year olds classes at church.  She adores her little kiddos!  She has the best servant's heart, and we are just so proud of her!

We bought a new house!  We are beside ourselves with excitement!

We went to the pumpkin patch--our favorite fall tradition!

We had a fun Halloween!

I turned 31!  Bryan and the kids treated me to two of my favorite restaurants, then Bryan surprised me with a gondola ride!

We had a great Christmas!

Jackson and Daddy remained the best of buds!

And Sarah and Mommy are still best friends!

Sarah is growing up so fast, but she'll always be our sweet, little princess!  She is beautiful inside and out!

Jackson is just as silly and adorable as ever!  He has the biggest heart and can always make you laugh!

These two are inseparable--for the most part!

And we are even more in love now than when we started dating over 13 years ago!
