Soccer

Saturday was Sarah's last soccer game of the season.
They won 3-0, so it was a perfect way to go out!

Sarah made this acrostic poem for Coach Rob.

She did such a great job this season!

Fun at the Farm!

Yesterday morning, we took the kids to this cute little farm that's just a few minutes away.  We all had a great time!

 Jackson loves goats!!

Daddy showing Jack how to feed the goats.

 Isn't he the cutest?!

 This one makes me laugh!

He's just hugging the goat--not biting him!

Jack apparently thought the goat had a good idea of sitting on the bench, so he decided to take a break too!

Sarah didn't like petting zoos when she was Jack's age, but now she loves them!

Sarah's favorite part was riding this pony!

 Feeding the bunnies!

Petting a baby pig!

Sarah was really surprised to see a peacock!

Saying bye to the goats one more time before we left!

Breakfast in Bed

Today is Bryan's first day off after working 19 days in a row.  So, I made him breakfast in bed.  He was really surprised and grateful!  He enjoyed his strawberry shortcake french toast while watching Sports Center!

Cute Flip Flops!

A few months ago, I saw this and knew I had to make some for Sarah and me.  I already had a pair of white flips flops.  I also had the perfect girly fabric in my stash that I got a few years ago for a $1.00.  All I needed were flip flops for Beara--which I got at Old Navy for $2.50.

Aren't they just too cute?!  We can't wait to wear them out together!

I still need to cut off the little frayed strings, but other than that, we love them!

Tickle Time!

The sounds of Jackson and Sarah laughing as she blows raspberries on his tummy are so sweet!

I hope they're always the best of friends!

Banana Braed

This morning, it was raining outside, and we had some very ripe bananas in our fruit bowl, so Jackson and I made some banana bread.
We love baking at our house, so Jack knew just what to do with the big wooden spoon...

...put it in his mouth!

This was the first time Jackson and I have baked without Sarah's help, and we had so much fun!  Next time, I'll have to grab the actual camera to take pictures instead of my phone.

Mother's Day

Yesterday morning, Sarah woke up shortly after 6:00 to make me breakfast in bed.  She fixed toast with Nutella and homemade strawberry jam that we'd made Saturday morning, yogurt, and orange juice.  Isn't she the sweetest?!

She also gave me a sweet poem, a picture she colored of our family, and a cat that she's been working on since Spring Break.  Sarah was originally making the cat for her teacher, but when I asked her about it, she said that she messed up while sewing it, so she decided to give it to me instead.  Ha!

Bryan was on call Saturday night and got no sleep.  But he still sweetly brought home breakfast, along with my favorite Starbucks drink, and a gorgeous new plant!  My real gift though is family portraits in a couple of weeks!  I cannot wait!

Bryan took us out to Maggiano's for dinner, and it was so yummy!  Sarah was really excited when Daddy order calamari as an appetizer!  It's her favorite, and she's been eating it since she was 2!  Jackson tried it last night for the first time and loved it as well, so he's following in Sissy's footsteps!

I love this picture of Big J sitting in Beara's lap while coloring.  They are just the sweetest together!

My first with two wee ones!

Mother's Day 2012
Pay no attention to the fact that Sarah has her eyes closed and Jackson's not looking!

I am beyond blessed to be "Mommy" to these two precious souls.  I thank God countless times each day for both of them, and I pray that I will be a great mom.

Walls

I've been working on some of our walls lately, and so far, I love the results!

I mod podged one of my favorite pictures of the wee ones baking onto a canvas and put it in the kitchen.  Beneath it, I hung a sign from my decor stash that reads, "Home is where your story begins."

It's only taken 3 years, but I think the walls in our bedroom are finally complete.  I hung our wedding shadow box that I made shortly after we were married, a picture from my sister, and our anniversary date.

Over our bed, I put an amazing gift from my sister.  It's the lyrics to "It's Your Love," one of our songs, (for some reason, we have two songs!).  This song means the world to me for many reasons:  I have had a crush on Tim McGraw since I was in the third grade, my sister sang it at our wedding before the ceremony, and every now and then if I'm really lucky, Bryan will sweetly sing this in my ear.  I love it!!

Soccer

Last night we had Sarah's soccer game for the week.  Bryan unfortunately wasn't able to make it because he didn't leave the hospital until about 5 minutes left of the last quarter.  Sarah played a great game and had two awesome kicks that went up and over everyone's heads!

Jackson using my keys to pretend they're a phone.

Go...

...Blazers!!!
